GR Yaris (Gen 2) Ballot - GR owner but never had the email or even a chance!

It was always going to be risky selling a Mk1 in readiness for buying the Mk2 especially when they said "current" owners. Hopefully they will find something else quickly. What's the saying --------It's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

I have just bought that shopping version - New Yaris Cross as daily and the hold button is the first thing I press as I like how it holds the car for up to 3 minutes when the brake pedal is pressed for about 2 seconds. Having never driven an auto it has surprised me how much I enjoy driving it...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

They say there will only be 2000 cars built per year. That is going to make it near impossible for the people to get one. At the top of the article it says it can be leased for £449. How can a leasing company get one when loyal GRY owners on here are getting turned down? They say it hasn't the...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

I actually disagree about it being a crap review. I found it refreshingly honnest from someone who is not a fanatic about these cars. She didn't have a clue what a GRY was so it was nice to get her first impressions as a complete outsider to the car. Everyone on here knows just about everything...

Footwear for enthusiastic driving, touring and track days: Your preferences and recommendations

These are great when you fancy a bit of clowning around on those fun "B" roads but I only wear them at weekends and are crap for heal and toeing.

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

I am disappointed for all of you who missed out. Just remember you still have a fantastic car and have just saved a lot of money and are probably being encouraged to use and enjoy what you have. I just hope we don't see a lot of YouTube influencers such as Mat Watson on CarWow "luckily" get one...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Thats a good point. I have told my young great nephew he will be left my GRY or whatever I own when I go up to the great car dealership wating room in the sky - which means he will need to take a manual driving test. He will also need to do this if he wants to buy a vintage car one day.

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Agree with Euge about the MK1 for sale. For those wanting the MK2 I hope they get one but those MK1 that are there ready to pick up at a good price must be a bargain and a great starting point to get onto the GR scene.

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Doesn't the new regulations regarding speed mean there must be inbuilt sat nav for them to work? My experience with sign recognition shows it can't be relied on and my wire connected phone drops out regularly which is why I am assuming sat nav and gps is now standard. They can't make everyone...

    More GR cars to come....

I am sure I once read that having rear seats change its tax or something else status even if they are just about unusable. I think it was when the GT86 first came out. Could be wrong but it feals possible.

    GR Yaris Battery condition advice

When I ordered my Yaris Cross as my run about I started to see there is a problem with hybrid and EV car 12v batteries. They put small 12v batteries in this type of cars and the forums are full of complaints from people (all makes) who wake up to cars that won't start as the 12v battery is too...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Yes it is lovely. It has black calipers. I wonder if they will get red ones when delivered. I shaln't be getting Mk 2 but may be ready for Mk3. Hope the price doesn't jump the same amount from Mk2 to Mk3 as has just done from Mk1.

GR Yaris (Gen 2) Process for purchase

I contacted Toyota GB a week ago stating I am interested in the new one but not this year. I asked If I could order but defer my preferential allocation for 1 or two years as I will be ready then. I thought they wouldn't reply due to the big demand but today I received this reply...

Best meet so far for me. I really enjoyed looking at the older cars. That Lotus Talbot at the bottom of the field was worth seeing as one had been on Bangers & Cash not long ago. The fully stripped and rebuilt MG in Jaguar silver for sale was lovely. I estimated it at £30k to £40k. I asked the...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) Process for purchase

And how long will people have the new one before they realise they have let theirs go and paid £20k out and the novelty has now worn off and they then wish they had kept their relatively new MK1 plus the £20k they are now paying. That is the concern in my mind as that would be really annoying.

GR Yaris (Gen 2) Process for purchase

I am probably in a similar position as you. I think my nearly 3 year old MK1 is too early to sell right now especially as the new HKS exhaust possibly won't fit on the MK2. Ideally, I would order the MK2 for spring 26 so I am on the books which gives me another two years use and then at 5 years...

GR Yaris Titanium HKS Super Turbo Muffler

I have the standard one and it was around the cost that DAZGR said. I think it is just right. Not loud like the boy racers tend to go for and many then regret it. It has a distinct burble when ticking over but comes into its own at about 3k revs and then it sounds great because of that...

As long as they don't all turn up at exactly the same time as I do. Good news that we will have our own area.
