Parts finally arrived at the bodyshop last week, so they came and picked up my car up for repair. Still a bit apprehensive about getting a quality repair; I'm hoping that the fact that the electric blue is a flat colour means it's easier to match and blend. I remember my pearlescent white GT86...
I also drove mine to a Mazda dealership this morning....but only because we had to drop the missus' CX60 in for a service. Didn't get a chance to poke at the MX5s, but I do miss my old MK3 in this weather.
Phoned the bodyshop for an update today, as I hadn't heard from them since dropping in a week ago for them to assess the damage.
Bad news is that I don't really know when this will be fixed.
Good news is...that's because they were able to justify replacing the whole bumper, rather than just...
I don't have one, but that Hachi Electronics guy is very active on the US forums and on the GR86 Reddit, and he's a bit of a wizard. I bought my auto dimming mirror kit from him and I'm impressed with it and the loom he supplied with it to make it an elegant fit. If you've got any concerns about...
Sigh.
Car parked outside my house. We were at the hospital. One of our neighbours knocked on the Ring doorbell, so we messaged him. He witnessed a lady up the road (who I know in passing) pull in front of my car as she was pulling in to let someone pass, swipe the front of it, then drive off...
Just a heads up for those attending, the pub is having to shut tomorrow due to ongoing water supply issues. Fingers crossed they can open again by Saturday.
I am still tempted a different wheel purely because I would like a perforated finish; find the slick OEM wheel a little slippery sometimes. But I also don't like chunky wheels. I think @Bobocop posted the same wheel a couple of weeks back.
How much are they and are they easy to install? I seem...
Back issues...
Wasn't planning on having to put him in the GR at all thoughI'm not even sure you could get a baby seat in it. There is someone on his forum who lives around the corner from me, and I've seen a child seat in the back of his, but I don't know about the proper maxi cosy...
Aww, shame to see you go Fox!
I'm having somewhat of a wobble myself. My partner and I have just had our first child (2 months prematurely) and although our second car is more than suitable as a family vehicle, I can see myself barely driving the GR, just through lack of time. I managed to get...
Those of you who changed your PCV valves, have you noticed any change in how the car actually drives?
It might be in my head, but since I've cleaned the OEM one and put it back in, I feel like the low speed driveability is a bit smoother...that weird way the that the throttle feels a little...
Before I ordered two from Teqsport yesterday, I also fired off an enquiry to Japanparts for that part number. Didn't expect an answer for a while, but they responded this morning and are now listing it :)
https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/?id=72001
It's currently listed at £5.61, but...
That's very kind of you, but I've ordered two from Teqsport in the US now. Ordering two works out at about £15 each, so only a quid more than the Subaru dealer anyway. Thanks anyway.
Quick question - have they arrived yet?
If so...how long and did you have to pay any import fees? I'm considering ordering from the same. I only want one which would be $30.59 (about £22, so still cheaper enough than Toyota to make me consider it). Just always wary about extra fees and stuff...
Amayana got back to me. There's no stock at the supplier, so it's .5 - 1.5 months delay. Then the time it takes to ship it from Japan.
Sigh. It I want to change it anytime soon, looks like I'm going to have to pay Toyota's extortionate rates. I suppose I could save myself £15 quid by going to...
