My answer won't be relevant since my lights will have been in a different starting position to yours. I moved them all down a bit - either 360 or 540 degrees of screwdriver turning.
Long reach screwdriver arrived so adjusted my slightly too high headlights - super easy to do and there's even guides on the adjustment cogs to help the screwdriver. Only confusion was it's the cogs that need to go clockwise to raise, anti-clockwise to lower, not the screwdriver :p
Not technically 'my' GR86, but the multiplayer challenge (trial) on Forza Horizon 5 this week is 86 vs BRZ so I've been thrashing everyone who is suddenly forced into driving a fairly normal car that they haven't upgraded to the gills and consequently, can't drive :p
I wish I knew (so I could avoid them in the future). Possibilities include that there was a very gentle curve (only a few degrees), that partial throttle was still a good % of full due to the sensitive default mapping, that a white line or something was greasy and instigated torque transfer...
I found out the traction control/ESC doesn't bother intervening if you're vaguely straight at 40mph, even in normal mode. Air temp was 5C but tyres more than up to temperature after driving for a while already.. yet while accelerating (relatively carefully) onto a dual carriageway at roughly...
Just done the long schlep around the place for Christmas visits - the M1 seems to be one endless average speed check these days, which probably explains the 40mpg I got for the trip :/ Even the boot was sufficient for luggage/present duties. What kind of boring car is this? :p (A few tight...
Although the video says 'standard' for the selectable modes, the pictures they show only show it on the automatic car - all the shots they have of the manual gear box has a blank plate just like our manuals. e.g. 4.57 on the video.
Put quite a bit of air in the tyres with the drop in temperature taking pressures low, and reluctantly joined the 'headlights are too dim' brigade. They're fine at night when travelling without other cars around, but at twilight or when SUVs are shining in my eyes there's not as much visibility...
Personally, I'm glad there are some people who are wrapping the cars up and preserving them, just as I'm glad to be using mine (with due care!). This car is a classic, and it means I get to both enjoy it now and sit happy in the knowledge there will be pristine examples far in the future. Thank...
Agreed - if it was meant to be a pure sports car it'd have a tiny boot, no cruise control, no heated seats etc. There are concessions to comfort in there, but only up to a (budget limited) point. For me, they've nailed it - but I can see the attraction of making it even nicer, whether in...
Mine came in their package and were left in the boot or glove box or something along with wheel nut key. After a while I figured out what they were and fitted them myself.
Dumb new-to-toyota question: I've got my first service coming up next week, and have been sent numerous links to 'check in online'. What is this? Is this their way of confirming I'm going to show up or something else? Do I need to do this in advance of turning up, or when I'm there?
