Dumb new-to-toyota question: I've got my first service coming up next week, and have been sent numerous links to 'check in online'. What is this? Is this their way of confirming I'm going to show up or something else? Do I need to do this in advance of turning up, or when I'm there?

Anyone else get this? Or is it TOL being their usual 'organised' selves?

Thinking of trickle charging if I end up leaving the car for a while over christmas, so just wondering if there was an earthing point in the engine bay? The user manual doesn't say anything, unlike my other car which has instructions for charging which include mandating an earthing point rather...

Has any publication actually put the GR86 on a set of scales? I know the manufacturer specs say something like 1275kg kerb weight (MT), but looking at the emissions certificate, mine's listed as 1436kg tested mass. Unless they were trying for a 'how many passengers can we fit in a GR86' record...
