There you go, Andy has listed all the part numbers (assuming that they remain the same in the UK)
I also emailed my dealer about it haha. I thought I would be fine to live without it but the more pictures I see of EU/JDM spec cars, the more I feel like it’s missing something.
Hopefully we can all get a reasonable price.
If I'm offered one then yeah, I'll probably go for it but I wouldn't wait to drive one before finalising the purchase and taking delivery of my own. I made the decision that I was buying one and the reviews have all been positive so I can't see why I wouldn't like it.
That’s a fairly positive review. Essentially a GT86 but better (which mimics other worldwide reviews). Slightly incorrect on saying that you can only get it in 3 colours but we can allow that oversight.
I'm one of the lucky ones. My dealer has contacted me on a mostly monthly basis just to see how things are and give me anything that they have, from random place-marker dates to letting me know there's some kind of hold up. Obviously, I already know the information he's telling me but it's still...
This, my current MX-5 is fantastic on fuel. The GR86 definitely won't be as economical but who cares about economy when petrol is super cheap?
Oh ... wait...!
Yeah they all arrive in to Portbury then go to Derby for shenanigans and then they're distributed from there. I'm up north and mine followed the same journey.
I think there has been a link to them in this thread (I'm too lazy to bring it back round) but they were expensive because they're forged. If you really want them, there will be a way to procure them though.
Hmmmm I can't see them giving up on GR vehicles just yet. It gives them far too much hype within the car world and the GR cars have mostly been a great success.
Factor in that they've leaped in to the GR branding with every model now having a "GR Sport" trim level and they'd be mad to give up on...
One thing about this post is the wording of "Let's hope the UK media like it as much as me this week"
Does that mean that the UK media are getting them this week or that he hopes the week he's spent with it is reflected by the journalists?
Hopefully it's the former and we can start to get...
At this point, I think Toyota are of our thoughts on this specific buying process. I'd definitely think twice about ordering another car online in the future and it will most likely put me off the purchase.
The big thing for me is that I want to see cars on the UK roads, whether that’s press cars, actual UK reviews, or just the PR cars knocking around. I’m more than happy to see them being posted on social media to get me excited.
I just don’t want to be ignored by Toyota and left in the dark...
My reply was a little less to the point haha.
It’s true though, we’re all excited for our cars but if Toyota are just going to pretend that we don’t exist whilst rubbing it in our faces, they’re not going to have a successful PR campaign.
