Not entirely true regarding the rear window but it certainly works in our favour.
The Gen2 & Aero Package rear glass share the same part numbers. The Gen1 however has its own part number but there doesn’t seem to be a visible difference between them.
The extra brackets on the wing bolt to a...
I’m pretty sure I will be going. I’ve missed going there the last few times. Hopefully I’ll get to show you guys the Aero package wing in the flesh.. I’m hoping @cuddles gives his seal of approval as we have a shared opinion on other wings. 😊
Diyman25, breaking sh*t so you don’t have to since 2023! Really interesting to see you & associates pushing the limits into the unknown with this platform 👍🏻
The Garage Vary kit. I especially like the GT Wing in the picture but decided it would look too much on a semi standard GR. Plus, you have to drill holes in the original wing which is a no-no for me.
But really, we know the flashable software is the restricting factor in all of this euro emissions red tape. Boost, fueling & timing mapped by the OEM to comply. Human inefficiency is calculated into the decisions regarding AT vs a manually operated vehicle. A computed action is taken as a...
Regarding the Aero Wing rear glass, there’s Lexan window manufacturers as an option -
A case of simply drilling a couple of holes for the extra brackets/mounting points. Also the added bonus of weight reduction & coatings etc.
A possible option..
Have you received your wing yet? Rear door glass P/N 68105-52D20 came back with £250 from BlackhawkJapan.com. The price delivered (without import duty or tax) £1200!! 😂
yumbo-jp.com seem to be bit more reasonable price wise though
I’m getting a set of these fit tomorrow on my S4. The previous versions I found had everything other than lateral grip. The CC3S tyres have new technology in the carcassing along with a new compound apparently so I’m looking forward to giving them a try.
It looks like several part numbers to assemble a complete wing unit. If you look at @tonic’s post, there’s a fair few components that are required. It’d be nice if Whifbitz or any other seller of the wing detailed the included/required parts to give us a better insight to ascertain the...
The Garage Vary GT Wing or Result Japan wing were my alternatives. Both of these options unfortunately involve bastardizing the original wing which is a sphincter clenchingly horrible thought to me. The Aero GR-Four wing is a complete replacement for the OEM without any permanent modifications...
Really tempted with the wing. I have so many questions about it though -
• Centre brake light when fitting to a MK1
• A comprehensive kit including all the bits like in @tonic ‘s post above.
• Do we really need the special glass to fit this?
I think I’d jizz in my pants every time I saw...
Thanks for the feedback fellas, much appreciated. It’s reassuring to know that the filter surface isn’t as vulnerable as I thought it may have been regarding wet weather.
Cheers!
