comparison data between nankang and cup2.
(different days so not fully compareable but still).
For some reason cup2 seems to perform better in braking. Maybe the pads are in end of their life or then cup2 is just better.
Anyone using aerodiscs?
Would be fun to test but they seem to be wheel dependant. of course, one could scan and print own if skilled enough.
A kit fitting OEM BBS would be cool!
Here's one kit that fits to Pro track wheels (17'' and 18'')...
Best lap from yesterday.
Quite sloppy driving.
Tires did not work in their optimal pressure, most likely as wheel is too narrow. was better at 2.2bar.
Nankang was ok on the limit and was faster than cup in fast and slow corners.
Trap speeds were 2kmh slower than last time I was there, it was...
Visited local track with new tyres.
1.4s improvement to previous PB. Tyres would likely benefit from wider wheels as it was not working in optimal pressure, was ok at 2.2bar.
Car worked nicely othervise. We were three cars with same tyres so it was fun to compare.
380Nm at 1500rpm sounds bit optimistic but would be fun to test the Toyota software!
is the torque addition only in low end? I would assume it would increase the added torque above the stock torque range aswell.
Swapped 3month old Toyota brake fluids to Motul RBF600. Wasn't happy how OEM fluids performed on track last time. But too cheap now to go with Endless. Motul is 3x cheaper. The toyota filler plug is crap and leaks little even it is fixed firmly. so not really fun job in that regard. Maybe need...
must agree. its like having the worst bits of the car with awful driveline. sorry my bluntness but it is what it is.
Only positive side is that its 150kg lighter than original car, so it could make a nice platform if you did a fast FWD car with a real GR engine. but then you have to swap quite...
Booked the install to local WS - maybe they're more lucky with bolt ends.
At least they've seen the picture so they should know where they're getting into!
Went for a faster road drive with Nankangs and they do seem to perform better in terms of grip vs. Cup2.
I'll try to get on race track so see real delta. 245 feels ok even for stock suspension. Of course stiffer is always better but I tend to like softer cars + don't mind little understeer as...
