Yeah unfortunately the issue crept up during my service, the plan had been to grab something off Fensport within the next few months. I'll make sure I get as much from my money as I can out of these new OEM ones!
I think I've found the issue.
No idea how its affected the car itself, but I suspect the card writing issue is due to reaching a max number of total recordings. I reckon reformatting the card should hopefully fix everything, here's hoping it doesn't decide to flash my hazards or trigger the...
I had grooves in my discs which were caught during my service in July, the right rear brake pad (which was admittedly low and needing replaced within the next few months anyway) had also stuck which had to be jemmied off. Occurred some time between the car's MOT in January and the service in...
Nope haha, I have to reach up to play about with the cam as it's behind the rear view mirror. It's a high endurance card I've got, like I said it's only caused issues maybe three times in the last two years. Very strange!
A strange one today. Came back to the car after watching the ice hockey, started the car up and my Viofo A229 Pro (front and rear) was continuously beeping. It's happened a couple of times before, something to do with not writing to the card properly. As I went to turn it off, unplug and restart...
Saw a beautiful black GR86 just ahead of me leaving Braehead this evening. Gave you and your passenger a wave back as I split off from you on the M8. Were you at the Clan game too? Would've stuck a dashcam pic up but it's on the fritz!
An hour on the motorway wouldn't be enough to result in any significant build up, it would be constant motorway cruising at low revs over months. I was so focused on getting an average 35mpg according to the car on my commute, hit the target and since I've dropped it to 34.1mpg 😂
Do you occasionally give it the beans? I was always trying to get the best MPG I could while commuting but gave her the old Italian tune up more often in the lead up to my first MOT. I've kept up the habit! If the revs aren't getting high enough often enough I believe carbon deposits can build...
A kind redditor based in Florida put his GR shift knob and key fob covers up for sale and received them last week. I seem to be acquiring a fair few knobs now...
Might change to it soon, the Billetworkz titanium one is great and definitely eye catching but you just can't grip it the same as...
Little dehumidifier pouch was super useful over winter, poor guy was feeling the effect of years of UV ray exposure however! Looks as red as I was after forgetting to put sunscreen on last week. New one fits the aesthetic just a bit better.
Seized!? Not the word I want to hear after having the brakes done last week haha. My plan was to treat them with something like Copaslip or similar and make sure I check them regularly. The plastic ones will go back on during the winter for sure.
Love the NOS bottle neck pillow, that's fab!
I'd been wondering why I kept passing a load of modified cars going the opposite direction on my way into work this morning. Saw a particularly gorgeous 350Z that looked like something straight out of Need for Speed Underground! Doesn't come close...
Fresh pads and discs on all four corners.
Will be looking at getting the calipers painted at some point (they've been stained since the MOT in January). Thinking red because just as red cars go faster, everyone knows red brakes stop better!
Had to take the car on a wee drive to test them of...
Turns out it was the right rear pads stuck to the disc. Strange as I've never felt there was any dragging and had no issues at the MOT in January. Had the pad filed down and booked in again tomorrow to have all my pads and discs done.
The first in Kevin Vo's Exhaust Bible series is here! The first video covers various options using the stock exhaust setup. Can't wait for the HKS Hi-Power SPEC-L II one as its on my list.
Car is in for a major service today. Sat in the sun when I get a call saying my brakes have seized! Going to see if they can get it running again so I can take it home and bring it back later this week to have pads and discs replaced. I knew the pads would need done in the next wee while but...
