Looking to join the GR club

Mine is for sale in Saffron Walden, not too far from MK: https://www.gr-zoo.com/threads/magnetite-grey-gr86-for-sale-on-pistonheads.7229/ In terms of preference, I would say the 86 is better for fun at lower speeds, rwd, naturally aspirated etc - the Yaris is faster and more capable (4wd), but...

GR86 GR86- Cars for sale - General Discussion

Fair point. I know a specialist would do a better job than 90% of main dealers who just get the YTS boy to do it, but I can see that other people might not feel the same way.

GR86 GR86- Cars for sale - General Discussion

Good point, thanks. I've added a note on the advert thread here and updated the Pistonheads ad to clarify. I'm in no rush to sell (to put it mildly) but also don't want to add too many more miles, so the 26 year old Alfa is keeping busy until the new diesel arrives....

Sold Magnetite Grey GR86 for sale on Pistonheads

Just to clarify (I can't edit the original post), being serviced by specialists doesn't affect the Toyota warranty if Toyota parts are used (which they were), and if the car is serviced by Toyota from year 3 onwards they will extend the warranty by a year each time, up to a full 10 years, which...

GR86 GR86- Cars for sale - General Discussion

Any thoughts on my car ad, pricing etc? I think it's a really fair price, but have only had one enquiry and a silly offer! https://www.gr-zoo.com/threads/magnetite-grey-gr86-for-sale-on-pistonheads.7229/ My job is turning into lots of motorway trips, so a comfy diesel is needed

Sold Magnetite Grey GR86 for sale on Pistonheads

Can't quite believe I'm doing this, but needs must (job change). Immaculate and awesome Toyota GR86 for sale in Magnetite Grey with professionally applied ceramic coating, only ever hand washed using CarPro Reset shampoo and HydrO2 Lite sealant, as recommended by the ceramic coating specialist...

GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Great effort @ZN8 that must have been quite a mission!

I was wondering this too, my bony elbow sits on the doors of the console opening, so I try to get it on the squidgy bit, but it's far from ideal.

Looks really good (y) Do you have one of those elbow rest pads? I've been tempted a few times but have resisted as I'm not sure how it will look, but comfort would be improved.

GR Yaris Switching from GR Yaris to GR86?

I looked into buying a GRY when they were first released and decided against it for the same reason I gave up on 'rally reps' previously - they're incredibly capable cars, but you tend to be going very fast to get some excitement from them. I didn't drive a GRY but read the same in reviews. The...

GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

I can confirm that the GR86 is a great car to drive home after a ferry delay of 2.5 hours, the M25 being closed and pouring rain! Getting home at 2am (3am for my body clock) wasn't fun, but the GR is so solid, I don't think I've ever driven a car that tracks so straight and feels so capable...

On the ferry to France and Belgium, listening to all the car alarms going off, content in the knowledge that it can't be mine..

GR86 Audio upgrade by Cambridge auto sound

I haven't used Cambridge Autosound myself, but a friend did and was very happy - they were the guys that found the source of the 'front end hum' to be the hollow strut braces after exhaustive investigations, so I would be happy to use them myself. Mind you, I followed Ninjin's instructions and...

    GR86 Glove box hate

"What I really miss from my old Defender was smashing my knee on the sticky-out bit of the dashboard every time I get out, so I think we should add that."

    GR86 First service

How about using a good indie instead? I used Fensport who were great.

Kerbed an alloy again, due to some :poop:🤬 parking halfway across my drive. I do have a picture but I'm not going to post it because it makes me sad.

GR86 "That's a fresh whip bruv"; or the Toyota GR86 collated feedback thread

Bizarrely, I saw another Dino today (dark blue this time) on the M25 near the M4. I wasn't in my GR86 though, so didn't distract the driver this time.

GR86 "That's a fresh whip bruv"; or the Toyota GR86 collated feedback thread

I had a few today too, first one was the best though, a guy in a Ferrari Dino about 100 yards from my house - I was obviously staring at his car as we passed, then looked up to see him staring at mine 😂
