I was wondering whether anyone has had any work/fixes done on their 86 since taking delivery? Thing I wanted to know the most is whether you've asked for something to be looked at and Toyota have fixed/resolved it.
With only the demo car and short demo drive for comparison it would be good to know if there is anything that you've found to be needing attention and Toyota sorting it?

When I take mine in for a 1-2k oil change I'll ask them to look at the following:
- creak from A piller driver side - slightly loose trim where curtain air bag cover is compared to passenger side
- rattle/knock over bigger bumps from somewhere behind passenger seat
- throttle mapping/sensitivity especially when cold - have come across possible software update for it
- rattle/vibration from driver door speaker pod if volume/bass is a bit energetic!

Think that is it, nothing major but rattles and squeaks I cant live with especially on a new car, out 19 year old land rover doesn't have any so a new Toyota shouldnt!
 
Drivers side dash vent cover creaks a lot when it's cold. less so when warm. Passenger window you hear creak sometimes too on not perfect roads. Going in for both soon. Vent cover being replaced. Boot floor lifts over bumps so you hear it. Drivers door speaker does vibrate a bit but is track specific and can be reduced by tweaking settings. But apart from that it's been fine.
 
I ha d a few creaks and rattles when I first collected the car (December) but they seems to have vanished, which I'm putting down to the milder weather and/or me going deaf as I get older.

Ah yes the boot floor, there is a nasty compression near my house and coming out of it there is that thump! At the moment my cricket kit is in the boot so that solved that :ROFLMAO:
Maybe worth asking the vent to be looked at in case its actually that making the creaking, only when cold as you say however!
 
Do you have details on the throttle map update? Having done a damp track day yesterday my main takeaway was that it’s hard to get smoothly on the power again, otherwise it was utterly brilliant.

If there’s no official solution I may look into one of those pedal tuning boxes.

I have that too, seems to be around the speaker area in the rear passanger side

Might be related to a keyless entry antenna mount, looking at old GT86 posts if it's the same

yes that is exactly where mine is coming from , only on quite major bumps luckily but sounds like something is loose.

Not officially but intend to speak to Toyota online and the dealer. I asked ChatGPT who from what I have found out from 'chatting' to it has an unbelievable amount of accurate information from all the questions I've asked!

I was at an event they put on for the EUIs a few weeks ago. Very interesting and exciting stuff.

Only thing now is keeping the lawyers happy so we can actually consider using it 😂

I'd be surprised if it is to be honest.
I've spoken to my dealer and given them a snagging list, I suspect if the car is 'as expected' there wont be much they can do, if for some reason there is something wrong with it then hopefully it gets resolved.
Now the engine is 'run in' I tried accelerating harder in first when it was cold (within reason) to get the throttle past the initial 1-2" travel where the problem seems to be, even then the power delivery was really jerky, its almost as if there is a fuel delivery problem when the engine is used for the first time on a cold day. :(

Just noticed I'm missing something. Before I make a trip to the dealers to order another, would anyone happen to know the part number (or even if there is a +5hp TRD item :giggle: )

The Deck Lid Stop Buffer is part number SU003-09192, as seen here.
That said, Partsouq lists them as SU003-12261 CUSHION, LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR, NO.2, so I guess it might be a matter of a visit to the local Toyota or Subaru dealership just to be sure?
Mine stick quite often in the warm weather (giving a little 'pop' as they come unstuck - I guess it's a matter of time before the sticking rotates one enough for it to drop out when least expected ...

Part ordered from local dealer - it's about £3.50 - should be here Wednesday
 
Different part number to that quoted by @Sonic, but £3.29 later I have it. Didn't realise it has a screw thread to affix it - wonder what happened to the original :unsure:

It will go onto the pile of stuff I have to fit, when I get the car back from the storage compound, when I finished doing stuff with the motorhome!
