Where are they going - accident write offs?
Yeah. Entropy will get them all in the end, some will trickle in from importers but they will get rarer over time.

The voracious and famous appetite of the Japanese tinworm! Exactly the reason mine is staying firmly in the garage when not in use and only coming out in the summer.

I’d love to drive it more often but as we don’t live in an arid state in the US that’s stuff of dreams.

Agree with you. The more that are kept away from the salt the more people can continue to enjoy them in the future .

I’m surprised that it’s middle of winter and only 30 of us have SORNED our cars? Mine will only be off the road until March, but why pay tax?

I still find the odd occasion during winter months to take my car out of the garage for a run.

The salt on Essex roads seems to have all been washed away by the heavy rain over the past week.

That's worth the £50ish paid in tax over the winter months.

I’m not giving the government anymore tax than I need to so mine will be one of those. I have no intention driving it with any salt on the road even if it is dry.
March will be the earliest it will come back out weather dependent.

Had to drive mine all week as I'd agreed a quote to do gutters, soffits, garage windows and side door in November and loosely said in the New Year but we'd agree a date. They took that literally as the first week of the year... We had quite a bit of snow and I told them they need to hold off until the snow and ice was well gone and salt washed away as the car couldn't stay home, had to be out of the garage and I wasn't going to leave it on the drive with scaffolding and dust and debris everywhere. They did it this week so used it for work and some errands. Car is now dirty after doing over 300 miles this week and ticking it over 20000 miles but we've had a lot of rain too and isn't salt. I'll be giving a deep clean next weekend.

The roads now are genuinely horrendous in parts in Mid Wales. Drove to Aberaeron on the Mid Wales coast today and some of it is rougher than the Sweet Lamb rally stage. But on the smoother, undulating bits it's sublime and I don't mind getting it dirty as it's so fun. Salt is understandable to hold off using it. But if it's wet just get out in it and use the car. I feel far better in justifying keeping it when I actually use it. I look after it but it's to be used. I've not bought it for the next person.
