Is this primarily because of the weight distribution or to help keep the car slightly understeery?

Also, how would handling change if you ran equal pressure or even higher in the rear?

I have run 30 fr 32 r since
I got my 21 GR and never look back . Makes the turn in and handling sharper . Also run the Lauren suspension settings with 2. 5 degree front neg camber .

Nearly all cars have lower tyres pressures on the rear due to less weight on them (weighg of engine at front).
Four wheel drive car tend to have pressure of rear tyres either closer or the same as the fronts bit I find it makes the rear jumpy on both the GR Yaris and Suzuki Vitara I have (also four wheel drive but not permanent like the Yaris)
