GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

There's a Noble Push Button Install video here, if that's of any use? The whole switch just seems to pop off with a pry tool (see 0:56 in the video)..

Extracted the GR86 from 6 months of Winter storage at 0900 this morning. Car started perfectly first time. Arrived at Vertu Toyota (Hamilton) to be told I wasn’t down as a ‘waiting appointment’. I exclaimed that it should have been, as I was hardly likely to be wanting to walk back across Scotland to Dunfermline was I? Then the coffee machine packed in and I had to wait on a reset. Just praying that my car survives ‘contact with the enemy’ and comes out unscathed - unlike @Alistair31, and his scuffed alloy from the receptionist at Edinburgh o_O .
Now settling in for several hours sat on this firm chair and considering hitting the pastries 🥐 🤔

Update 01: Latte and Cinnamon Swirl consumed :coffee:🍥. Vehicle Health Check completed with no issues, except that the Engine Air Filter WNBD this service as I have the Performance Intake with lifetime K&N. Car now off for MOT. 🤞🏻. Time for another coffee? 😁

Update 02: All done. Clean bill of health ✅. Managed to snatch a chat with the Master Tech too before I left.
Total Cost with MOT (minus cost of Engine Air Filter) = £401.51

Minor booking hiccup aside, which wasn’t the dealership’s fault, it was a decent customer experience.

Today saw me add a few CF bits to the engine bay (pulley covers & fuse box cover), red metal engine cover and a performance oil cap.
Am now thinking about a CF cover that goes at the front of the engine bay and maybe a full replacement cap set, but prices are a bit steep at the moment 🫣

Haven't done anything as such but after dealing with excessive oil consumption for a while did the oil filler test for pressure... blowing. Looks like it's new PCV valve time.

Let me know if you find a decent price for that cover, I saw one on-line but silly prices for postage

Today I may venture out to try and find a petrol station that's (1) Not Closed (2) Has Super available and (3) doesn't have a queue half way around the block.

Found some: 189.9 per Litre 😬. If this carries on I feel I may have to review my planned leisure trip in the GR86 to Milton Keynes and back via SCITP. The local Tesco, Shell and BP were all out of Petrol and I don’t think it’s gonna get better any day soon …

My local tesco has increased the price gap between 95 and momentum 99 from 7p to 9p per litre…

Loads of dirt at rear of the bumper was there for 5 minutes and dirty coming out

Today added a splash of colour. First impressions are great, more finesse than stock, more control, a more planted feel.
After 80+ miles not seeing any negatives vs stock other than the cost of Vpower.

It's these or the HKS Hipermax S for me. Did they need much adjustment from out of the box? Thinking of getting all the next lot of bits together and getting one place to do it all.

Today I had to use the horn for the first time when some nobber pulled out in front of me.

It’s not a loud parp, is it? 😆

These are direct upgrades if you want a beefier "honk". I'm quite content with the Roadrunner "meepmeep" our cars do.

If you want to go crazy there are Hella Horns which Grimmspeed do a wiring harness for. Some of those things hit 120db+ which is absolutely mental for a car horn.

Did a bit of gymnastics and cleaned the interior of the rear window. Noticed that the sticky-back felt I’d used on the harness covers was completely sun-bleached from its original black to dark grey. Rather than replace both pieces I made use of an old bottle of Black Dylon Leather Shoe Dye I’ve had on the shelf for about 10 years.. Seems to have done the job innit. I only wish I'd worn some gloves as my hands look like they've been subject to a fingerprinting.

I definitely had a man install them but they did need setting up, taking apart setting correct pre load etc.. I think I read that you're going rustival? I might go too. Or I'm only up the road from there can set something up? Msg me.
