I own 2 cars, a Yaris Cross GR and a real GR ;)
The Gr Yaris already has a HJS cat + some small tewaks, but stock suspension, stock height, stock catback so its very comfortable to use it as daily and for holidays. You cant drive the Yaris Cross on german motorway with its 1.5l NA engine and its air resistance. So we use the GR Yaris for holidays,

End of March we drive to a destination 800km away, one way........and that´s why I´m, struggeling with my descition....I want to upgrade the stock exhaust to the HJS one this year....but I already have the HJS downpipe and I´m a little afraid that both parts could increase the noise to a level, where an old man or his woman wont go 800km with the car anymore.

ECU tuning is part of the upgrades I want to do next, so this exhaust would have 2 benefits, better sound everytime you drive + good basis for ecu tuning. I really like some louder sound, but daily use I drive 1 hour max, so no big issue if it would be "too" loud at the end. But holidays with my wife and 8+ hours inside the car?.......I dont want to risk that she descides that we take the Yaris Cross for holidays !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We start to increase travelling this year, so that´s no once a year problem

Do you mean HKS exhaust? I'm not aware of any HJS one, just their cat/downpipe.

If you do mean HKS then I have the Spec-L II and it's not really loud at all, even with the HJS downpipe and GPF delete - it sounds lovely and is fine for long journeys, in my opinion at least.

I'm really not one for LOUD exhausts but before the GPF delete I thought it sounded too tame! So I think you'd be fine with this HKS exhaust and your HJS cat.

its hjs...dont know if its known outside of germany.

With you having already upgraded the catalytic converter & OPF/GPF replacement down pipe, you have already removed the performance restriction if you decide to tune the ECU (or not).

The combination of your stock exhaust & the modifications you have already done (cat & down pipe) is flowing exhaust gasses really well for stock or mild ECU tuning. I can’t see an aftermarket GPF/OPF back exhaust really giving you a performance benefit other than the visual aesthetic & an increase in exhaust noise.

If you are wanting a slightly louder exhaust note, I’d recommend looking at the Fujitsubo exhaust. It’s marginally louder than the standard exhaust & the built quality is really nice for the cost. Tegiwa (parts shop) have an exhaust comparison video on YouTube where they test the Fujitsubo in conjunction with an aftermarket down pipe for reference.

Hjs cat, resonated gpf delete and none resonated whifbitz titanium exhaust. It’s fine on the motorway at 70. You get a small drone at 60

I am old, don‘t like too much noise neither and am running both the HJS DP and Exhaust on my Mk1 since 3 years. This is so far the least noisy combo I have seen/heard. Have made several roadtrips with it. No issues with noise, really.

its hjs...dont know if its known outside of germany.

I think it's a 70mm exhaust rather than 76mm/3" like most other aftermarket exhausts.
