The box won't fit in the GR86. But all the parts will.

I phoned Cobra, they had a few suggestions: - possible leak from ill-fitting joints. - possible vibration into the cabin from poor fitting exhaust. - possible resonance from the exhaust tips if they do not protrude far enough away from the bumper. For me the first 2 options sound most likely...

My house keys managed to get wedged between the moving lid and fixed cup holder section of the centre console which prevented the mechanism opening fully. 20 mins if wrangling later I managed to retrieve them .

Work has been manic this week and will be next week so I've not had a chance to phone Cobra during office hours. I picked up the parcel containing the missing spring and correct gasket, but had to pay £1.50 for underpaid postage. Which was slightly annoying. I've commuted with the car each...

Took the car back to the garage today for adjustment. The exhaust was too close to the crossbeam after it had warmed up and expanded. Then, when it wobbled, on acceleration or driving over a bump, it hit the beam making the awful rattle sound. Everything looked very solid and no apparent...

Yeah, the loose clamp+leak = rattle+drone theory makes most sense. Glad to hear yours doesn't drone, that gives me some hope. As you can imagine I'm feeling pretty disappointed with it right now.

So... Got my Cobra resonated cat-back installed yesterday, and did my usual commute today (35m A-roads). There is a bit of a rattle/clunking when accelerating and slow. E.g. pulling away, so I'm taking it back to the garage to check tomorrow. I have noticed significant drone/boom around 3000...

Hi Guys, Quick question... How much did you pay to have your exhaust fitted? (assuming you went to a garage. ) How long did it take? I have a cobra cat-back system, which consists of resonator, mid pipe, back-box, 2 elbows, 2 tips. Cheers, OldMan.

It's the quieter resonated version. I'll write a review when fitted.

Had my first service. Thanks to this forum I had bought an oil filter in advance which they needed. Otherwise the visit was unremarkable. I've also taken delivery of my Cobra resonated cat-back exhaust. 😁 Just need to arrange for a garage to fit it now .
