GR Yaris UK Surge in Toyota/Lexus thefts

Even if Toyota (or others) should have the 'moral quest to protect customers from "easy theft of their vehicles... BUT: It's very clear (at least to me) that the MAJOR responsibiliy lands on the authorities (Law + Police) to mitigate theft/criminality. If no heavy-hand policies in place, I can...

GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

I don't think our cars (either gen.1 or 2) have any electronic brake-pads wear sensing. The only think I've seen was an "old-school" acoustic metal tab - probably just at rears though (?). I think that's one of the reasons for the more tight service-schedule from Toyota on the GR-Yaris. You...

GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

could that be the scavenging shaft for the dry-sump oil system? 🤷‍♂️

GR Yaris Fitting Gen 2 lights on the Gen 1.

as an alternative to Gen.2 lights... anyone tried to go the "WRC route"?! (good chance that would be less costly and added 'race-pedigree' 😅)

GR Yaris How far have you gone with your chassis mods? How far would you like to go?

maintaining the thread type, lub and torque: the pre-tension force is exactly the same. so the question here: is the torque setting the same for the camber-bolts (thinner neck) vs standard? (without yielding, I agree: the thinner neck is less prone to loose pre-tension)

GR Yaris How far have you gone with your chassis mods? How far would you like to go?

that's interesting.. do the (thinner neck) camber bolts from Toyota have a lower torque setting than the regular/standard OEM?? (from a quick search on the webs, the front struts pinch standard bolts seems to be at 200 lbs.ft - ca. 270 N.m as you pointed out)

GR Yaris Opinion: Original exhaust and OPF

now someone is getting triggered and showing its true colours… clearly nothing good comes after sitting on top of the green flotilla-flags!

GR Yaris Opinion: Original exhaust and OPF

in my opinion, starting to be a bit off-charts that someone (as far we understand) replaced its GR by an electric-car and creates a GR-Zoo thread to specifically target and morally harass other members about what they do with their GR-cars...

GR Yaris Opinion: Original exhaust and OPF

If the idea is to really make a difference(?)... how about choosing a better audience than us?? What about preaching to Russia, China, India... ev. US (would certainly be popular amoung Dems) and leave us well alone with our little 3-pot sewing machines??

    GR Yaris Opf delete/exhaust problem!

any chance to tell us the main dimensions of those shims? Inner/outer Ø and thickness? Tried to reach CP (contact form on their homepage) but no luck... Cheers :-)

GR Yaris Rear left outer cv joint

ouch... could this be a warranty case? (just double-checking) What do you mean by "ripped"... is that a mechanical failure? Or just the rubber-boot ripped for ex?

GR Yaris Milan's GR Yaris Track build

Amazing work going on 👍if you ever consider to commercialize an "Aux Radiator Install Kit" for Mk1... I think would a be a good market for it. 😀

All models Brake fluid on alloys - procedure?

for me (and should be for any half-brain mechanic) having a spray-bottle filled with water on-hand is crucial to quickly wash-off any brake fluid spill... water is one of the best fluids to neutralize brake-fluid acidity /corrosion.

Toyota are testing something in Portugal…

I understand the cost aspect of things but... it's a bit of shame if all these models are just aesthetically modified corollas and such - not a bespoke platforms, with sportier suspension geometries/travels, better weight distribution, sportier/higher-end bodywork profiles, fr-longitidinal (or...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) Fuelling Your GR

each to each own (I'm not racing my vehicles) but in my world: Ethanol content = bad, especially for classic cars, bikes, boats that stands still through the winter season - obvs considering the percs of the long winter in Norway: cold and filled with moisture. Once again, ethanol may be...
