If you think about it, the front diff enclosed in the gearbox is lubricated with MTF 75W Oil.
Reagarding to the FAQ from Torsen the front diff should do „more“ locking than the rear.
To my understanding if the front diff can handle it, the rear should do just fine and for maximum locking you can...
Found a small but mentionable flaw today:
The auto dimming / night mode is not working. So the headunit is always in day mode an does not adjust the brightness, as does CarPlay not switch to night mode and so does not google maps… have to look into it deeper…
The torsen diff does not need a special oil with limited slip additive.
But manufacturers put it in for NVH-reasons that less customers get uncomfortable when the diff makes some noises.

Ok, but when i look into toyota-tech with my cars VIN (which is a GR with Torsen LSD), it tells me to use "Toyota Original Differentialgetriebeöl LT API GL-5 SAE 75W-85" for the transfercase.
Which would translate to "Ravenol MTF1"... only the rear diff should get oil with LS additive regarding...
I am sorry, but i thought that the front LSD is integrated into the gearbox?
Because my paperwork tells me, different oil volume for the gearbox if there is an LSD or not. But always the same oil.
Enclosed there is a screenshot but it is in german…
Thanks to this thread i changed my headunit too!
Everything the original unit could do, is working fine and even better. CarPlay on a much nicer screen and wirelessly is just perfect.
The clock not working does not bother me and i could even connect the system with my hotspot and update the...

In Germany we are waiting for our so called „Limited Edition“. 300 additonal MK1 GR Yaris.
I followed a few ships and the „Heroic Leader“ and the „Athens Highway“ have GR Yaris on them.
The „Athens Highway“ is the one with my car on it :love: (According to the guide from the forum)
