GR Yaris GRY Run Numbers

Mine scheduled to srrive in September 2022.
I'll share my vin as soon I get it from the dealer. 😄

Fair enough, and when someone has the vin code what can they actually do with that information? Most cars (would need to check the Yaris) have a vin visible through the windscreen so it’s not exactly hard to obtain anyway, I could also walk round the docks as they all have the VIN written in pen on the glass in large numbers.

No need to check, it is there. :)
Physically being next to one and noting down the VIN is a bit different to going on-line and reading it from a forum.

If you've ever lost the key to a car and been told "If you go to a dealer and give them your VIN...."
Now, dealers are usually very security conscious but the information does escape. A Toyota supplier recently had a cyber attack. What if it was the security device maker?

If we had build plates as some cars do, it would be a different matter.
