GR86 Better quality floor mats

I’m thinking of looking into getting some better quality mats made, together with a heel pad for the driver’s mat. I’d aim to have the logo stitched in, so they’re a replica of what’s there already - just thicker, and hopefully longer lasting.

The company I’d use is one I’ve used previously to remake mats for my pair of modern classic Rovers, and they do a fine job.

Would anyone be interested if I were to get a batch made?

I've ordered a set of the mats available in Japan, if that falls through I'd be interested.

I’d be the same if we’d had the option to choose JDM red interior accents.

Currently contemplating whether I try and source some of the patterned mats that seem popular in Japan or if it’s a bit too in your face for my taste.

Does anyone import/sell these in the U.K.? Great range of colour combinations/patterns and edging to choose from.

mine will be a daily so went with the Toyota rubber [snow mats] from japanparts - 16 days from order to UK delivery.

Can’t comment on the quality or fit because I’m away.

I’ve arranged a 10% discount with Autostyle (http://www.autostyle.co.uk/), based in Wolverton near Milton Keynes. They have manufactured mats for OEM’s and have remanufactured faithfully mats for my pair of modern classic Rovers, so I’ve no hesitation in recommending them.

Please email [email protected] and mention you are enquiring off the back of the GRZoo discount set up by Iain - I’ve visited Autostyle today with my GR86 mats so they have the exact pattern and dimensions to work from.

They are able to produce anything within reason, from different fabrics, colours, stitching…get in touch with your request. They’re very helpful and responsive via email.

Yes - you can request the exact clips Toyota use, which is what I have done.

I’ve received my mats now and they’re installed - they’re of much superior quality to the OEM ones, yet look much the same, apart from an additional heel pad which I specified.
