Damm, my engine will surely be doomed to failure then.

To those with a few miles on the car (i.e. run in or more) - have you noticed any change to the engine characteristics?
It does say "except for emergencies"Being a stickler for the rulesIm going to run it in as per the manual, I dont think the engine needs it but in the event of an issue I dont want Toyota plugging it in and saying "warranty is void as you exceeded 4k rpm on 21 Mar 2023 for 3.2 seconds hitting 5k rpm"... etc etc. It is testing my patience though but luckily its pretty nippy below 4k
I've used cruise control which is also a no-no aparently.
About 200 miles of my first 300 miles were on cruise control taking the car up to visit my parents
I did vary the speed a bit and do some high rev pulls every so often though. On just over 2000 miles now with no issues or oil use so I'm not too worried.
Great video….
I’ve had 15 new cars over my lifetime, 10 Co motors, 5 owned (Golf 16v, Pug 205 1.9 GTi, Golf R32, BMW 123d, Audi A4) and none have ever followed full run in, and none have ever had issue.
