GR Yaris Two car garage

Nice Mark…I spot a Zenos!
Hi Ben,

Yes I just sold my E10R and replaced it with the GR as only managed 500 miles in 18 months and half of that was picking it up. Time is limited with kids etc and everytime I seem to get a free Sunday it was raining. So figured I can get out in the GR whatever the weather and in winter. Totally different proposition but so far enjoying it.

I’m in a similar position to you Mark. Young kids and lack of time means the Zenos only comes out with a lot of planning. The Yaris meanwhile can be used for everything and both my girls can fit in the back!

900 miles to, around and back from Snowdonia in the Zenos a few weeks back with some mates was ace though! The Yaris would have been quicker no doubt, but the rawness and race-car feel of the Zenos made it so much fun, but the operating conditions for such fun is very limited. I doubt I‘ll go out in it more than 2 or 3 times this year…..but at least it’s not depreciating.

Is it true that the Rallye/Circuit Pack do not include HUD? What else do they miss out on?
Surely easiest to add LSD’s and track wheels to the pov pack models!?

The circuit pack also lacks the JBL's, blind-spot monitoring and parking sensors (at least here in Europe).
On the other hand, not sure to call "easy" the LSD's+suspension+wheels mods... neither "cheap".

tbh as GR is so small and it has rear view camera I have never really missed the parking sensors. and HUD you can maybe add as an aftermarket item (of course not that great integration with roadside sign detection and nav but still...)

I agree about reversing sensors, camera is so good that you do not need sensors, but i have to admit blind spot monitoring would be good, i have fitted the little stick on mirrors the blind spots are so bad!

I do daily my car so anyone who uses it much less might not be so needy for this mod!!

Love the parking sensors on mine. Really useful when parallel parking on a very busy street, especially when the camera is obscured by dirt it water - but even the front sensors are useful.

In Oz they are the same car except rallye gets torson differentials, brake ducts, stiffer springs and trim stitching differences. Rallye also gets lighter wheels and decent tyres. Wheels and tyres were changed before I drove home and added diffs and the brake ducts and coilovers covered the suspenders.
