Hello everyone,
Have been following the Forum quite intensively for over a year now and am a „very happy camper“ owning a GRY since October 2022. It‘s a daily and a direct replacement of a BMW 240i convertible. Smiles everyday, no regrets at all - time to join!

Mods to-date include:
- H&R swaybars front & rear
- Toyota camber bolts front
- Suspension alignment
- HJS DP & Exhaust
- CAE Shifter
- Alcantara Wheel retrim

The GRY is a keeper for me and the goal is to maximize driving pleasure & smiles within legal limits.

Thanks to all for the advice provided so far and looking forward to see what’s next…
 
Welcome to the Zoo.

What do you think about the HJS exhaust? It's one of the few with ABE in Germany. While liking the HKS High Power and the Fujitsubo, they are not legal here, so I was thinking about the HJS as well at some point.

I actually like it a lot:
Better sound; sporty but not loud at all (which is must for me). Synthetic sound is off. So all natural now and flow a bit improved with a design I like.

Could you post a soundvid? You're the first one I see to have it and I can't find anything online. Need to hear it before I commit to an exhaust...

No worries at all - my pleasure.
I heard the Q300 live on a car; it is definitely louder than the HJS. It would be too loud for me….

Really? I only heard the Q300 in rl. From the videos I would have guessed the HJS is louder.

Personally I don't like HJS and milltek because of all the bits and pieces that have to be bolted together. The Q300 is solid welded. So nothing can come loose or don't fit. But that's just expectation.

Edit: oh and I like the stealthy look of the shiny black tips. Fits the rear bumper quite well. The overly aggressive big tips of the milltek are too much for my taste.

Yep - the Q300 is definitely louder than the HJS, but true: it is solid and nicely made.

And carbon cover for the gap the CAE leaves around the shifter!

Nice to see that the CAE shifter won't prevent the use of a phone mount in the position in the photo.

But you haven't mentioned the armrest mod :p
 
Yes tell us about the delete option you have done on the rear view mirror?

Cool - it just feels right like this….

Edit: the 1 thing missing is the wheel spacer, but as not legal in CH, no option…
