GR Yaris Weight of Wheels

The only method that is possibly a tad cheaper is to get the wheels tested by TÜV Austria (A subsidiary of our TÜV that is seemingly a bit more flexible. The certificates are recognized here as well.)
What you've described here is the unfortunate reality of what anyone has to go through to enter the German market.
I'm not speaking for all GR Yaris owners here but I'd think that a 18x9 ET45 would be very popular. ProTrack Wheels is selling a bunch of wheels in that size to a lot of German owners that like tracking their car. Other sizes I would personally take into consideration fo the Yaris are stock size 8x18 ET45 and perhaps the 8.5x18 ET45 of the GRMN wheels.
If you do end up deciding to go for it I would strongly recommend going for a Teilegutachten (Parts certificate, it's inbetween a type approval and a simple strength certificate) as that really takes the difficulty out of getting the parts homologated on our cars and an Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis (Type Approval..) isn't compatible with other tuning components that might affect the performance (see coilovers which a lot of people are running) so people would have to have their car inspected by an Engineer anyway.
If you do end up going that route, please register my interest for an 18x9 ET45 set :)
Protrack sell 18x9 et35 not et45. They sell 18x9.5 et45 which you do see plenty of though.

Good to hear, gloss black doesn't appear to be listed on the website. Have there been any issues with the 18 x 9.5 +45 wheel?

Each of the colours are listed, and as it mentions for any of the products, just specify whether matte or gloss finish is desired when ordering.

Some of the finishes are likely to be discontinued soon, but gloss black will still be available.

When you say issues, is there anything in particular that you mean?

Have there been any issues with rubbing etc, I'm on Ohlins with -2.5 deg camber.

A customer in Australia has fitted a set of 18x10 +35, he has some slight rubbing on heavy compressions, as he’s lowered. Some camber mostly sorts it.. He commented that he felt 18x9.5 +45 is the sweet spot, and he ordered a second set of wheels in that size for track work. Not heard of any issues in that size myself.

There is issues with camber on 18x9.5 et45. You can only have so much at the front before the suspension touches the rim. There is plenty of information about it, maybe even a youtube video from Phil if you know who I mean.
