Is there a discount available for the Remark axleback exhaust? Really tempted by this option based on the feedback in the thread and relatively low cost.I’ll be going Remark, price & discount agreed. Just need so sound samples of UK cars….

It does look decent, there was talk of it being a bit louder. I just don’t want to be excluded from a track run due to Db.I went double wall to make it feel a bit more OEM. It's lovely quality, very nice welding.
Some good discussion here about the HKS option: https://www.gr86.org/threads/hks-legamax-axleback.2332/Massively leaning into getting the HKS Legamax Sports for the 86.
Imo the only exhaust that actually make the engine sounds better, rest of them just makes it louder to my ears and to be perfectly honest... The engine doesn't really sound great by only making it louder

Not sure about the music in this clip! How are you finding it so far?So, just driven the 22 miles back from Fensport after having the Cobra (non resonate) cat back exhaust fitted.
Wow! What a difference, it’s now sounding like a proper sports car should sound. I am absolutely thrilled. It is pi&&ing down with rain currently, but will try and get a clip uploaded once it dries up a bit.
And a word about Fensport. What a lovely bunch of guys, who absolutely know their stuff
As it was the first GR they have had on the ramp, they have taken some pics and a couple of video clips of the sound etc, and going to place on their website, so will also put a link up when done.
Overall, a good morning, and now have a massive smile on my face![]()
I think that might be the nicest sounding one I've heard (IMHO), seems sporty without being boy racer, would that be a good summary? You can drive down a high street without anyone thinking you're a bit of a c0ck?Absolutely loving it
Actually, when just driving around town and on a light throttle, it’s hardly noticeable inside the car with windows up, but as soon as you get going, it just comes alive. Theres an urgency now, to get the 1000 miles done, as you can really hear it getting in the sweet spot when it approaches 4K revs.
A nice bassy note rather than the ‘hard’ sound that so many exhaust put out.
I know exhausts are a very personal taste, but for me it’s spot on.
haven’t really noticed any drone either.
Yes, spot on. I had wondered if I had done the right thing going for the non res version, but need not have worried, as it’s definately not ‘in ya face’ loudI think that might be the nicest sounding one I've heard (IMHO), seems sporty without being boy racer, would that be a good summary? Sorry, silly question, but there are no differences between US and EU spec models from the cat back, right?
I know we have a GPF, but I assume that cat back exhausts are still interchangeable?
Rather be safe than sorry before I pull the trigger on importing an overpriced GR performance exhaust![]()
Thanks!!!Yeah you're fine![]()
The catback starts just after the small muffler in the middle (*b). The GPF is after the headers (*a) so doesn't influence a catback.Sorry, silly question, but there are no differences between US and EU spec models from the cat back, right?

Anyone tried to take a Remark on track yet and had it noise tested? Subjectively from videos it doesn’t seem like it’d be too loud but it’d be great to have some empirical data to help with the decision, I don’t want track days to be a hassle.
