GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Collected mine on Saturday, they even got my initials on the plate. I haven’t put many miles on it but the engine is much smoother than the GT86 and the gearbox less notchy. My only complaints are that the steering wheel is a bit thin and I prefer the dashboard/centre console layout on the first gen (but I do really like the new dials despite them being digital).

Insurance was a shock as my no claims are attached to my other two cars so Chris Knott couldn’t get anywhere near matching what I pay for my GT86.

I am going to repost my findings below from another thread here also. The second Processing order notification is actually where it all starts and you should worry less about your order!

GR86 - The 11 o'clock Club

I'm a 10:44'er and have just received a 'Processing Order' email from Toyota and my car now has a map visible on the app/website! Hopefully this means things are starting to move along!🤞🏻

A quick question for those that have collected, Just had the confirmation mail collection tomorrow at 10, drive home insurance with reg etc
No mention of signing the electronic docs, just logged in and no docs to sign!!
Are there any docs to sign??

Should have had finance docs if you are doing finance, if not then I don't think there was anything else online that needed signing (but could be wrong)

Many Thanks for this, no finance so will ask the question tomorrow when I pick it up...the whole process has been very unclear from April 20th 2022 to date :ROFLMAO:
 
Collected mine yesterday and took only one photo at the dealers, a quick snap and then put the phone in my pocket, checked it later and it was out of focus :ROFLMAO:
My freebie? Some flowers:(

Could be worse, I got an email from Lotus saying they'll try to not further increase the price of the car I ordered a year ago. The car they said definitely wouldn't go up in price for existing deposit holders, and now has. It might not go up again though!

My email said my price was going up even though they had my deposit 2 years ago. I cancelled and it took two weeks to get my deposit back, they aren't replying to emails and the phones have been off for weeks.

I'm glad I got my money back when I did.
