Event Drive Limits Event 6th March 2023

And don't forget to print and fill in your indemnity forms. Finding a working printer is usually my biggest failing in life.

I've just rattled off mine, and a few spares. I hate printers usually, but a tiny laserjet is a life saver.

Booked an overnight stay as well, I don't much fancy trying to beat traffic around 1/3 of the M25 in the morning.

I'm going to bring my portable inflator, and pressure tester as well.

Out of interest, it alludes to being able to record but using proper mounts. Is there anything about what counts as a proper mount (ie, is a gopro mounted behind the rear view fine). Obviously not posting online, just for re-reviewing myself.

I think it starts at 9am but everyone is to be there around 8:30 for a chat/ brief.

Just remember to put some fuel in the tank before. Last time a couple had to shoot off to go fill up.

Also top up the tyres a few PSI higher than normal.
Nice one, thanks!

Yeah, 8:30 meet for the briefing.
Bring the indemnity form
Tyres inflated fully
Enough fuel in the tank
Anything else?

Tyres inflated to how much PSI?

Fully as in 40ish for both F&R? Some specifics please for newbies.. thank you

Personally I think that's a bit too much. I'm going for a few PSI higher than normal, which was fine for me last time.

Mark does say get them pumped up high and explains the forces of sliding your car are trying to pull the tyre off the wheel. Which is why he recommends it.

Might be that is easier to slide with higher PSI also?

Ok I will email mark. Not got any emails from
Him

I could have sworn I read somewhere that we needed to have the tyres inflated to the max number on the sidewall, but can't for the life of me remember or find where that was.

I'll drive normal PSI settings hopefully find a Shell close to the airfield. Pump it up to > 36 psi front & rear and fill up the tank. Not too keen driving high PSI to get to the airfield.

im staying overnight next to the tesco petrol station (on the image above) the night before. Looks like i have a shell and BP en route. Will bring my tyre inflator if anyone needs it. Its just a cigarette socket job but works.

Looking at the weather forecast, I could have left my Crossclimates on. I'll be staying over in Sussex and driving over in the morning, with a forecast of freezing temperatures and potential snow :D

It's on their website - I read it too.

I'll have a portable inflator in the boot if anyone needs it. It is rechargeable and also runs off the 12v socket - £30 from Aldi, an absolute bargain!

Off topic, but is that the little black and orange Osram one? I picked one of those up at Aldi and it's absolutely awesome for portability and convenience.

I'll be topping my pressures up a few PSI when I get there, and dropping them back as I leave

Don't forget your lunch as well, iirc?

How long is the session for ? Guess plan is to drive to Tescos grab lunch, fill it with 100RON?

Tyre pressure @kinboshi to help please? ;)

Sadly I now have to work on 6th March :(
I've spoke to Mark at Drive Limits and he's happy for me to sell my place on.
I paid £135.00. I'm miffed to be missing out but if anyone wants to take my place then let me know.
Just bumping this again. Please let me know if anyone is interested?
