No, the car was being delivered last minute from a nearby GR centre. I didn't specifically ask or mind that they prepped the car for me, I was just kind of surprised since most people here mentioned a bit more interaction throughout the process.

Plus another pic showing the guiding holes on the rear plate. I must not look!

Received with 9 miles on the clock.

TPMS warning light still on - I will try the deflate and inflate method to hopefully fix this
Surprised that the car has the Rear Bumper Protection film and door handle protection film installed as I didn't order them.

A joy to drive home after the wait. The gearbox felt better (less notchy and easier to get into first) than the dealer's demo that I drove :)

Next some detailing and PPF - clear on the front and black on the roof.

Yeah, mine has the bumper and door handle protection film. I guess they must be standard??
 
My T still shows in transit but a bit wired that the location map show my car is in Cromford?🤔

Is it the same as others when yours were in transit?

I had some special times with my tpms in the GR Yaris too. I did hundreds of kilometers before they finally showed me the pressures. But they dont show me the correct pressures since the workshop calibrated them with wrong pressures...
Maybe check tire pressures too, my Yaris got delivered with 2,8 bar in all tires.

Thanks - you couldn’t make it up could you! I just had the call from the dealer telling me it’s on way. I need to contact Toyota UK now as they’ve not told me it’s on way yet plus my app still shows it’s in Derby. Still not sure if the dealer has it right 🤔

Are those “actual holes“ through the plastic 🤔 and is everyone’s rear bumper the same 🤔

That sounds poor, especially the service book and second key. I suppose the dealer would have necessarily known re. the film/plates unless you'd had a conversation.

My sales rep has asked my preferences, but that might be because one or more of my fellow Coventry buyers had already made their own requests.

It would be interesting to see how your experience has compared with others locally - which dealer is it?

Anyway, hopefully a more positive question - how are you finding the car?

The difference in experience is huge and we would not know about it without this forum. Mine was generally good at Leeds and I felt they made an effort and I was a valued customer. They had to take loads of pictures of specific items as instructed by TOL and I signed to say I was happy with it. No spare key is weird - I mean why wouldn't it be with the car?
 
My dealer told me that he has now requested all GR86's to keep all wrapping/plates stuck on/not cleaned etc , even if he hasn't heard from the customer. What was happening before is that as soon as the car arrived, everything would be taken off and cleaned by the PDI team. He's put a stop on that until he has explicitly heard from the customer, which sounds pretty good going to me.

This is how they should all be treating the cars.
