Hi
Whats your opinion of getting the audio upgraded and which is the most popular, easy to install, I’ve looked at both Audison and Focal as options but would welcome advice/result etc. and are you better off getting an expert to fit?
Thanks

As a few others have done I’ve fitted the Focal front & rear kits, and the Alpine PWD-X5 under seat amp/sub, also while the panels were of a little bit of sound deadening. If you’re into amazing ICE systems and not that great with the tools then maybe get it installed. You will notice the sound difference from standard. That maybe a little understated.
I’m no expert in car entertainment installer but a competent DIYer who can watch you tube videos and follow other peoples “how to do threads”.
if you do go the DIY route allow yourself time.

I‘ve managed to source the upgrade audio I wanted, now looking for the best options for soundproofing if you could suggest how much I’d need for the GR Yaris and would you soundproof the boot area even though no speakers or amplifier going in the boot.
Thanks

The doors were insulated with Dynamat as you can see from the pics. Don't think it was used elsewhere. I had an installer do it, so can't say how much.

Just had some sound deadening added as part of an audio upgrade. They used Stinger Roadkill in the front doors, rear qtr sides (which is quite a big area x2), boot, battery surround and under the rear seats. As it was installed for me I've no accurate measurement to go on but looking on line, 36 Sq ft of the Roadkill Extreme or similar is around £100.00 and seems about right, plus you'll need a roller and razor knife. I guess the first thing to do will be to measure up. Others that have done it themselves might be able to chime in and give you a more accurate idea of what you need. Hope that helps.

My Audio build is underway and being built by https://www.highdowncaraudio.com/ here some progress pictures.
