GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

WOW WHAT A WASTE๐Ÿคฃ As if putting it in a garage undercover in the evening after being out all day enjoying the same weather and better driving conditions is now a waste of time and stops you using it๐Ÿค”
Absolutely. In its element at this time of the year.

Someone jumped to conclusions.... Is that a cold garage?

Thanks mate, no chance of it staying in the garage ( apart from the evening ) as these are superb in this weather and sooooo much fun๐Ÿ˜‰

For the first time today, I took on another car at the traffic lights.

On my way to work there's a junction where the road splits into 2lanes about 5 car lengths before some traffic lights and then squashes back from 2 lanes to 1 about 5 car lengths afterwards; a sensible bit of design aimed at getting the maximum number of cars through the junction for each light sequence.(y)

I always try and use it maximise flow, never aiming to use it as an overtaking opportunity and take it easy as I like to think I'm not a nob.

This morning, a woman in a mini that had been sat uncomfortably close in the 40 limit leading to the junction came alongside on my left at the lights and I suspected that her intent was to undertake when the lights changed.

Matching pace would have resulted in me being pushed into the oncoming lane at the filter point, and for once I decided that I wasn't going to happen and I wasn't going to facilitate the undertake. She went off at what would best be described as very late amber, and at green I unleashed the GRY getting comfortably ahead.

I could see her clapping in my mirrors. I don't know if it was sarcastic (probably) or congratulatory (not very probable), but either way I decided today wasn't a day to be pushed around.

Based on choice of car, her reaction and a bucket load of prejudice, this seems to fit the category of people that believe the have right of way because they have a certain taste of things, she wouldn't have blinked if was Porsche in front.

Personally I get rid of most tailgaiters with a dab of the throttle when it frees up in front. Then they either back off or pass at a demonstrative speed difference (much later). Either way, they are off my back, happy motoring.

Just got back from a few 0-60 runs down on the sea front, very lucky to have these roads and soooo quiet on a Saturday ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ even managed to get some appreciative walking stick waves from the local OAP residents which was nice of them๐Ÿ˜‚..

Had a little drive, saw a farm shop sign decided to investigate and accidentally found a mud rally stage. Hit a pot hole at one point and was expecting some carnage on the wheel but all was fine. Never did find the farm shop though.

This was all after I had just fitted the black MFF flaps, which considering the city fibre workmen leaving shite everywhere and the new spacers are pretty much a requirement now.

Car needs a clean too.

@N17whitehartlane is that a toms side skirt and the trd front extension?

Yes mate๐Ÿ˜

Car went into Western Car Radio on Friday for an audio system upgrade and some sound deadening. Went for Audison products. What a vast difference over OEM. WCR did a great job (Iโ€™m in no way related) and mine was back-to-back with another GRY! All round the cabin is a much nicer place to be.

Footnote: Arrived home. Parked up and got side tracked into checking something in the manual. Still had the music on oblivious to the outside world. Next minute an irate neighbour is knocking on the window asking me to turn the sound down. To be fair it was past midnight and with the sub on, it must have sounded like I was having a rave in a tin can!! Should know better at my age.
