GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

I might get some flaps, got Rallyflapz on my i30N and like the look. Obviously these are a little more understated but, yeah.

Based on a comment above, does every dealer have a GR Specialist to complete PDI or is it only GR Centres? I'm a long way off as a 10.41 order, but considering changing my order from my local dealer who's looked after me for my GT86 (not a GR Centre, don't seem to be very proactive, not had a demo car yet or heard from them in months) to a slightly further afield GR Centre. If they usually have a specialist for the PDI and sales aftercare, but my local dealer doesn't have a nominated specialist, I'd rather just change my order so I'm not being mucked about down the line.

I’m picking up from a non GR centre and its just a ‘normal’ salesman doing the handover.

Fine by me as they seem very helpful and have seemingly turned my car around ready to be delivered within 24 hours of arriving at the centre.

Oh cool! The fact they've done it in 24 hours of arrival is pretty damn good! Makes you wonder why they can't all follow the same timeline...

£170 fitted, £116 if you want to fit them yourself.

Duckbill spoiler is £474 fitted or £348 DIY.
Which dealer is it? My local dealer fitting cost seems to be insanely high, more than the spoiler itself

'We are still waiting for your car to have it's PDI at depot. I will check again for any movement on Monday'

No system or logic. The wait continues.

Argh….. nothing is ever simple in the world of GR86s 😂

I may have spoke too soon about picking up my car after the quick turnaround by the dealer.

They called me this morning to say the TPMS light was on the car, they’d checked everything and were satisfied pressures were correct and everything was working as it should.

Normally, this light will go out after an extended few miles of driving and therefore would I like to pop down and give the car a quick drive? (They were conscious of putting miles on a brand new car, so wanted to give me the chance to do this).

I of course gladly accepted, so drove the car with their salesman for about 10 miles…. Unfortunately the TPMS light is still on…..

So now the tech needs to do another check to make sure everything is ok. I’ve already said I’m happy to take the car with the light on, subject to them double checking there isn’t actually a puncture already.

However, it now comes down to whether they are willing to release the car later to me if they think there is another issue (its possible it just needs a few more miles to reset).

They’re giving me a call later once the tech has had another look, but possible I won’t get my car after all today.

At least I’ve driven my own car now so if it doesn’t happen today, not the end of the world!

Dealership has been fantastic too so can’t fault them. It just one of those things, possibly the TPMS issue can’t have been helped by the car sitting around for 4 months….

Anyone else who has collected had any TPMD related issues?

I chased up TUK this morning, all boxes my end have been ticked, the car has a transporter to go on so should be with the dealer either at the weekend or early next week.

😬😬😬

When I had my test drive the TPMS was on for the demonstrator. They checked the pressures before I went out and all were fine so we carried on. It stayed on for whole drive. On a similar note my 2019 RAV4 TPMS light comes on as soon as the weather turns cold, despite all tyres being at correct pressure

The TPMS sensors have batteries, I’m guessing they probably charge as the wheel rotates, so possibly have gone flat if they’ve been standing for 8 months, hopefully not so flat they’ve become damaged. Come to think of it I think the test car I had, had the tpms light on
