Civic isn't in it this year, no hot hatches infact:

- R8 V10 Performance RWD
- M4 CSL
- 296 GTB
- Artura
- GT4 RS

If the GR86 won out over the 296 and GT4 then that's quite a thing in that company. Not sure what else I'd put above those 2 in that group.

Car due to be delivered yesterday according to what I was told last week by the online retail people. Dealer says now not expected until 28th, dealer doesn't know why. Just when I thought I was nearing the end of this nightmare Toyota GB find new and exciting ways to piss me off.

I'm pretty peed as well. I'm order #2 and TUK promised to be in first batch which clearly hasn't happened. And they can't tell me why this has happened or when my car will arrive

I've been so positive throughout but this has got to me finally. Just hope it doesn't taint what should be quite a car.......

I was told the same, but no request for funds that was supposed to happen this week and the dealer is clueless. For all I know the car could be ready for collection by next weekend or not before new year's.

I really don't understand how they can't get basic customer communication right. It's one thing to wait for cars to be built due to supply shortages or experience shipping delays, it's another to have the car built and ready in the country for months with seemingly no one having a clue on when you'll be able to collect it until a couple of days prior.

I can't plan my leave properly for the collection, the weather has gone full British winter so no proper detailing will happen until next spring, I don't know if I should be withdrawing cash from my savings and I've sold my car for less than I could have gotten if it wasn't for the supposed delivery date in November.

Any excitement I've got left will go out the window quickly if the delivery is postponed till next year for any reason.

Aye, they told me first batch too and I made the payment on the basis of being told 2nd December for delivery. If they had said 28th I'd not have paid last week.

Seeing other folk getting their cars, whilst obviously brilliant really, is making things worse!

No need to apologise, I'd be posting too if my car had was at the dealer awaiting collection in a couple of days! There's no logic to it, how have they managed to get a first batch car to Kent yet a dealer around an hour away from Burnaston takes four weeks longer? Are they using DPD?

Don't apologise mate, we're all happy at least some of us get to experience the car before Christmas. Let's be honest, all of us got shafted one way or another on this journey.

It gives everyone a sense of relief that finally some of the cars are being delivered, and I'm happy to share the joy with everyone here, but the lack of consistency in communication, time frames and overall experience even at this stage just feels like another kick in the teeth.

And I know, we should all be grateful as we're getting such a wonderful car at such a great price, but the bitterness of everything else is difficult to swallow at the moment.

Mine was supposed to arrive last week, also pushed out. Maybe 6 months of bird sh*t has acid etched the paintwork and they are getting them resprayed
