When I dropped in Saturday afternoon just for a look I was offered Sunday (20th) but I wasn't free. Annoyingly due to the weather I've pushed my drive back to Friday now as well.

So perhaps 2 clear days is a reasonable expectation?
 
Anyone got any info on Marshalls Gatwick?

Tried speaking to them a few times but can’t get through to anyone.

Yeah I spoke to them today. I had to persist to be put through to someone. Asked about when the demo car will arrive. Nice lady I spoke with didn't know, so took my number and promised to call back. Low and behold, about 10 minutes later she did!!

They are expecting their demo the week after next.

Naturally, I couldn't possibly endorse any kind of challenge - over, say, 30 miles on public highways, within one hour, and respecting all laws and speed limits - to 'low score' on the average fuel consumption!

And I certainly wouldn't offer any kind of "beverage" to the "winner" of any such "competition" at any future "gathering" of our little tribe...

I understand from my local comrades that test drives in our neck of the woods will be accompanied by an esteemed dealership representative.

This rather regrettable confounding variable unfortunately renders any such thrown gauntlet comparison as invalid.

Again I must state… does it have dual controls? Hidden camera rally driver takes dealer out for a spin 🤷‍♂️
 
Jemca Bracknell will be unaccompanied (as was the GRY I previously testdrove with them.)

l don't think they have the staff to spare anymore by the sounds of it!

Pavement is kinda... business lease grey sort of thing. And cant be arsed with the other colours. I quite like the black/silver combination.

Not liking the descriptions of the linier power delivery at all, that says to me its a flat power curve and there's no fireworks up toward the limiter? I want more from an engine if I'm honest - hankering after another Integra DC5 currently. Dimming mirror, parking sensors and camera is disappointing.

As somebody who has not owned a GT86 but does currently have a DC5 that 6k to 8.5k VTEC redline rush is the best!

My wife has ordered the auto (not due until end of next year) but hoping to snag a test drive with me as a driver and ideally her as a passenger. If it haves to be accompanied they can go in the back! Will give the dealer a call this week and see what they say. Otherwise she can just have a sit inside and play with the buttons haha

Yeah I've not come across anything quite like the K20. Maybe an S65/85 from a BMW gets close.

I've been in a GT86 before round brands hatch and thinking about it delivery was linier indeed, an enjoyable experience
 
I got a call today from Stoneacre Darlington, they're getting the demo next week, what day would I like it (I did have to badger them last week) ?
30th at 16:00 unaccompanied - I need to make sure it'll get up my drive without scraping anywhere . . .
