Another email from Toyota;

So I just called into Marshall’s as I’m off work and was passing….and they’ve just taken delivery of their demonstrator! I had a quick look at it but it was covered in all the stickers and looking very dirty etc …. So I’m hoping to get my test drive on the weekend!
I just spoke to my contact at Marshall’s who said the car won’t be ready for test drives until next week as they need to tax it which won’t be done until next week after PDI and my test drive is provisionally booked for Saturday the 26th.

Good chat with TUK today, 3 day drive away insurance email on route with payments being requested next week (I'm a cash buyer).

Aiming to start delivieries from 1st Dec. Sounded very postitive that would be the case.

Broadly in order (I'm #2 :D) but depending on how long transport and dealer PDI takes they may not stay in order if that makes sense.

Has anyone confirmed whether the test drives will be accompanied or not? I'm hoping not.

Just spoke to Bristol North. They are expecting their demo tomorrow and will need 4-5 days to prep it before test drives begin. They are expecting my car to be delivered to them on 2nd of December.
How long do we think it takes from having the car arrive at the dealer to being available for collection?
Be a bit annoying if it takes the dealer a further 2 weeks to take the protective plastic off the seats or something :p

Is your #2 sequence arranged in the order of when you ordered the car, or when you replied to last week’s email?

When the car was ordered. They told me a whole ago I was the 2nd UK order (early bird) and they mention it sometimes on calls which is funny.

Just had my email about the drive away insurance cover. Filled out the form - heads up; their website is crap and doesn't work in Chrome. I had to do it in MS Edge or none of the buttons would display. However, all done now.

I saved the quote for the years cover, but didn't actually get a confirmation about the 3-day cover - anyone else? The email says "You will be provided the price for a 1 year policy, You can save your quote for future purchase. Your Complimentary Drive Home Insurance has been successfully applied for, you can now close this page.", so I'll just have to trust that it's done. Same for everyone else?

All a bit weird as mine worked in Chrome. :unsure:

Yeah, that's the message that came up when I'd done mine too. Your details for insurance are in their system so will (hopefully) be linked to your pick up date.
All a bit of a waste of time for me as mine will be straight off to the PPF installers from the dealers forecourt in a covered trailer and I won't get it back for a week :ROFLMAO:
