GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Half of all future owners on this forum. What happens if everyone emails the same day to ask ‘what is the delay in cars being delivered? We want answers not a bullshit generic statement’

Same situation as everyone else, bumped to 14/11 :( Very frustrating indeed... I think I would accept the delays better if the car wasn't built yet. But the fact the car is just sitting in some yard in England and no comms from Toyota is really getting silly now.

Can't even enjoy watching new YouTube videos on the car anymore to keep me excited, every other video is about the RTV issue now o_O ...dread to think how this will impact the re-sale value in a few years time, regardless of being a rare car or not.

Must stay positive... lol

Same here, moved to 14/11.
I believe the only way for us to get some answers is not by sending out emails, but by organising ourselves and ask publicly on Social Media (Twitter), they don't want their image to be affected publicly.
The processing has been nothing but disappointing, I have heard nothing from Toyota UK on my order, and my dealer is even more clueless than me.

Can confirm the date of mine has been pushed as well, November 14th. For those of us who arrived in mid July our 86's will have been sat in Derby for 118days if the new date is to be believed.

When I picked up my Supra I was told by the guy in the dealer that 86's had been pushed back for release to the start of next year, I dismissed this as being nothing, however it now wouldn't take much for that to be a reality.

Even that I could stomach if they would just give a reason why, and preferably a reason which isn't completely arbitrary.

"Keep an eye on our social channels for future announcements."

Why? Why should I? I'm a CUSTOMER. If there are announcements, 🤬 email me, don't make me go trawling through social 🤬 media for updates, especially when you promised monthly updates anyway.

The social media people, like the online retail team, can only reply with what they've been programmed with. They're not allowed to think or find out further information if they don't know the answer. It's the Directors of TGB who are making the decisions and who are responsible for the complete failure in customer service and communication.

What was the name of the tgb pr guy who was on here? Could try him for a response?
