Morning!

An idea I saw on another forum - can we not sticky this post and those with Carista/OBD11/Techstream, and willing to help other members, post where they are located and if anyone needs to do a small tweak on their car, they could potentially reach out to that member and swing a few £££ to the owner of the device?

Could be useful for example - I want to enable wireless AA on the wifes Seat but I don't want to fork out for a Carista/OBD11 just to change a setting from OFF to ON for example :D I'd rather swing someone who owns the dongle £10 or something for the ability to change a single option..

this is now a sticky

good idea as could do with a few tweeks to mine (y):whistle:
Curious - what tweaks do you want to do?

I'm around Doncaster if anyone has a Carista/OBD11 they don't mind meeting up so I can make a tweak to the Mrs Arona please :)

For those needing - I've ordered a Carista dongle and got the app.

I'm in South Yorkshire if anyone needs a hand :)

I have Carista and a dongle. South Manchester. I would add though that you can simply pop to your dealer and they can do the same for you with turning things on and off.

I’ve got Carista and the beta app, not a subscription. If it’s still working I’ll have it with me at Castle Howard 👍

I heard some dealers can be sticklers for those sorts of things?

Same - will bring mine with just in case anyone needs a hand. I'll be walking around with a baby in toe and a camera in hand - look for the tall(ish) South African :ROFLMAO:

Thanks Lauren 👍
The reality is, not that much. It's of pretty limited use really. Though I get you can configure more if you have a convenience pack car. I've played around with the ESE and ANC, though ended up leaving both on. I've got the window single button press so I can open or close the windows from the fob. Note opening the windows on the fob is of limited use because you will set the alarm off once it re-arms if you don't open a door within 30 seconds. I never use this function.

Being able to close the windows on a single button press is moderately more useful, though perhaps ever so slightly so. I've used this at least 3 times in the last year.

I've turned off the beeps for seat belts, but as I never drive without a seat belt, this option is of limited use as a result.

Carista is great if you have an EML and you want to clear the code, but I admit, I've not had an EML for nearly a year now! So, yeah, incredibly limited use. Is it worth buying one and paying the £58 yearly subscription? Not really. 😭

So my Carista didn't do what I needed on the Mrs Seat Arona, I've ordered an OBDeleven if anyone needs a hand with one of those.

Aberdeenshire - Carista dongle due in tomorrow.

Also have VAGCOM, Multiecuscan (Fiat, Alfa), an Autel dingus, and software for Nissan Elgrande (Speaks Consul). Seem to attract odd diagnostic jobs!

If anyone has one in South Wales, please let me know! Just want ANC / ESE turning off

... I've not had an EML for nearly a year now! ...
I'm under the impression that you don't have a sports cat/downpipe/decat installed, so why would you have an EML?

I recall you posting about having an aftermarket exhaust fitted, but any GPF/OPF-back exhaust alone shouldn't trigger an EML, should it?
