Event [Rescheduled] Now at Oulton Park 30th November All Toyota Track Day (Was at Donington Park Wednesday 16th November)

Spectating is usually free. £10 to register as a passenger which gets you a wristband and should allow you to go out with anyone who lets you!

Hoping to get a passenger seat in our race car for the event too ;)
I do hope you get a passenger seat sorted, Tom. Adrian was saying you need to get some seat rails welded in. We could have a competition for those passengers (obviously myself excluded from that. 🤣 ). (y)

Yeah not sure I'm risking not insuring my £35k hatch 🤣

I’d quite like to have a go at one of the Drive Limits days before I have a go at making a fool of myself on track, but this looks great. If it goes well and you think of organising more, I’ll definitely be interested. May come to spectate 👍

Check with who you're insured with some specialists do track cover too.
Yet to get my GR but I'd probably go for admiral for my normal road insurance..

I'd love to join this! But I'm trying to buy a house right now and can't afford to take a day off work so will have to give it a miss

You won't make a fool of yourself mate, there's always a range of experience on track days. It's not a race (y)

Being aware that you're not automatically going to be the fastest is one of the best frames of mind to be in, in my opinion. I see far too many people in fast cars unable to use their mirrors etc.

Watch a few YouTube videos going round the track to get rough idea of the lines, and go from there. My first track day was at Donington, its a big wide track and rewarding to get right. You'll learn a lot on your first day, the difference between first and last session will be huge :)

Thanks for adding me too the list.
Looking forward to this.
Just need my tracking sorting out (again) tyres putting on rims, sort a service, oh and new front pads, sort the go pro and save up for more petrol tokens.
Sometimes wonder what’s fun about this hobby. 🤟

Well said Matt! I was thinking of just this!

I don't bother. But I know friends who use https://trackday.moris.co.uk/About £180 a day the last time I did do it, but that was years ago.
Obviously it's slightly different for each person & track (I think) in terms of insurance but I paid about £450 earlier this year using Moris when I went to Goodwood & Anglesey - thankfully didn't need it.
Their customer service was seriously good though in terms of callbacks and answering my questions.

Agree with @Matt too; don't try and win the trackday; signal over to the right when you notice there are faster people behind you (then follow what they do to improve :ROFLMAO:).

The "real" cost is staggering isn't it, I daren't add it up :D
