Having had the “Welcome Call “ from TUK Online Sales I was told if I wanted to change colour (again) or transmission (for those who wished they had opted for the automatic 😉) you could ✅ but you go to the back of the queue 👉

I also asked about the price , this is “Locked in” ( long time since I’ve been to one of those 🍺) unless the Government changes car taxes or “a new model supersedes the current soecification”

So I was thinking what if 🤔 🤔🤔 someone in Toyota Japan found out about the 💩show TUK made of things and decided to try and recover some good will and give the last 40 customers ( folk who waited longest because they had fat fingers, bad internet or trying to do things without Google Chrome at 10.00 am on 20.04.2022) the chance of an Hakone Final Edition ( sounds better than the M1 /M25 Final Edition , as Hakone is supposedly the most famous motorway in Japan) , nice British Racing Green, Gold alloys, tan and black interior and proper looking brakes (had to mention those) , or something else 🤔

Post your vote , it counts for nothing but there isn’t much else to do 🤪

Edit - Apparently Motorway in Japanese translates to “Kōzokudōro” sounds cool to me the “Kōzokudōro One” 😉

No. Not sure why everyone raves about the Hakone edition...I think it looks crap. BRG doesn't suit the car at all and the gold alloys don't work with it. And while a tan interior can work, it doesn't here.

But even ignoring that specific example...no. As OPC100 said, special editions are usually just a different colour. And I've already chosen thr colour I want.

I’ve just joined the back of the queue as I wanted a colour change. Won’t lie it’ll be painful to see those enjoying their new cars but it means I’ll have one of the last off the production line and I can get something silly for a couple of years. I may even be able to save enough to avoid finance

If it was for Hakone green, maybe. Yes it would be an agonising wait but it's only really going to be 18 months from the first deliveries (there or there abouts), and I'd be happy to stick with the MX-5 until then. If they mentioned a special edition in yellow or something that I would never choose, then I'd be perfectly happy with my original choice.

I'm happy with my silver, but I'd be tempted by a special edition if it was silver or white with the red interior, a factory fitted duck spoiler, and a plaque. I do like a nice plaque!

And probably an absolutely rubbish investment too , worth nowt these days 🤣
Haha and don't I just know it. I had a Giallo Ginestra Evo 2 that I sold when the first child came along, as I just wasn't using it. Then had a chance to buy a Edizione Finale in about 2008. Yes, the Integrale was my first love and I was a sucker for a limited edition.

We all ordered on 20 April, not 20th Mayx you might want to edit your erroneous date 👍

Thanks for picking that up 👍, obviously I’m in the “fat finger” category 😉 and to keep things 100% accurate “most of us” ordered on the 20th April , a few lucky folk found a “portal to the future” 🤣

Not sure you can call them lucky any more, they've just had to wait even longer for their cars to be ready!

That depends on how you measure time days , months or years ? I’m now resolved to be in the “Years” club 😂

Electric blue was always the colour for me, wouldn’t change it for any colour tbh (maybe the same colour but metallic) I’d have like other wheel colour options though but I suppose more options means added cost.
