Looking great. I’m planning on having 245/40 rubber on mine, although 8.5 with. Love the look of a chunkier tyre on it. Also hit a nasty rock in Clocaenog forest yesterday and narrowly avoided a pinch flat. A bit more tyre depth I will be welcome!
Thanks mate! I think the chunky tyre suits the car. I've noticed it is a bit more compliant on rough roads with the extra sidewall depth, so it should give you what you are looking for

Have you lowered it or is it the higher sidewall filling the arches more?

The tyre is about 16mm larger in diameter than stock, so an extra 8mm or so up into the wheel arch. Mine is lowered 25mm on the String Theory kit, but no issues with rubbing or interference.

The increase in overall diameter does put the speedo out by about 1.5mph at 60 though

Oz superturismo evoluzione 18x8 et45. Car will be lowered soon and I am afraid it will look crappy when wheels don't fill out properly.

Do we need to go 9" to make it good and without rubbning?
