Got the same info from this morning also, beat to it posting it here!My designated dealer has just called - they've been told by Toyota not to give out expected dates to customers, and that only Toyota Online themselves have access to the 'real' delivery date (my dealer says the sytem they see says the end of this month, which obviously isn't happening as my car hasn't even gone into the build stage yet in the MyT app). He asked that I let him know when I hear from them, as I'm likley to hear before they do. This seems to be similar to what someone has mentioned earlier, that the dealers are seeing a date, as the field can't be empty in their system, but that date doesn't actually mean anything).
My dealer is rubbish, he told me that they can't see anything in their system because I ordered online despite MyT showing my car already in the UK, talk about someone not caring. I wonder if I can change dealers nowMy designated dealer has just called - they've been told by Toyota not to give out expected dates to customers, and that only Toyota Online themselves have access to the 'real' delivery date (my dealer says the sytem they see says the end of this month, which obviously isn't happening as my car hasn't even gone into the build stage yet in the MyT app). At least you’ve had contact. My dealer is rubbish, he told me that they can't see anything in their system because I ordered online despite MyT showing my car already in the UK, talk about someone not caring. I wonder if I can change dealers now
I'd certainly ask the question to Toyota Online if you want to switch, no harm asking. My dealer has been pretty good, I attempted to pre-order from them before Toyota decided it was going to be online only, and they got in touch as soon as they realised that was happening. I have bought a car from them before though (my current car) so maybe that makes a difference. My dealer is rubbish, he told me that they can't see anything in their system because I ordered online despite MyT showing my car already in the UK, talk about someone not caring. Ah, wondered if you were also at Northampton.Bedford!
The local Coventry garage have now confirmed that delivery won’t be until 2023 in line with Toyota online ETA (who I had phoned yesterday ) .I suspect other locals will get a pushback from the 31/7/22 date as well.My car has been in processing since 19/5/2022. Email confirmation was 10.20am. It hasn’t moved to build stage yet. But I’ve had 2 phone calls from my local Coventry Listers garage is adamant that my car is due to be delivered 31/7/2022. I don’t know how that is possible considering many people are much more advanced in the process compared to me with later deliveries. Is anybody else experiencing a similar situation? Toyota on-line had me due for 2023.
