GR Yaris Shock weeping

Just had my yearly service and after 14k, I'm I've got a weeping rear shock. I've never had a from new car before but to me isn't that sort of crazy low for a shock to be going? I'd be expecting what, ten years out of a shock?
 
that is way too soon...

I changed my rear shocks at 110k km, they were noticably softer than new, but nothing crazy (measured at ~ 50% vs 70% brand new). nasty b roads, spirited driving... 3000 track km, half of that with stock size semislicks...

Yeah, that's surely a warranty replacement. Dealer should have offered to take care of it for you imo

This is the shock in question btw. I've seen more extensively fucked shocks that's for sure.

Also flagged me for having only 6mm left on the brakes which frankly seems fine (I'm averaging 2mm a year apparently, start with 14mm iirc?

I'm sort of thinking they are trying to drum up some work here honestly?
