GR86 Exhaust manifolds

I’m not looking to go forced induction so that’s one less complication. I’m too old to be making a dickhead of myself by running an exhaust set up as loud of some of the American youths seem to have opted for and I’m equally not wanting to blow any hope of passing emissions out of the water.

Sounds like the catted JDL may be the better option than the HKS. Hopefully if I choose carefully what I pair it with I’ll manage to keep the volume in check and at a stretch still eeek a few extra ponies out with a tune.

Not sure if anyone else has ordered JDL to the UK before. FYI, They give a lead time of 4-6 weeks and im yet to see if the import tax man is going to bend me over as well.
 
I don't like UEL manifolds and chose the HKS EL catted one, with the catted front pipe, to remain legal on casual inspection. If I continue to use Abbey Motorsport and their local MOT station, all will be well if you know what I mean. The HKS combo does also make good power, so I made the best choice short of going catless and failing a visual roadside inspection (and being too loud).
