GR86 GR 86 Ignition Red photos

Ignition Red in the U.K. is a new colour for the GR86, paint code DCK a “solid” colour with a clear laquer top coat. Ignition Red is also known as Track bRed (with a small b) in the U.S. The colour was not available on the GT86.

If it's a solid colour with a clear top coat lacquer, I hope they don't charge the price for the Pearlescent option as per the Bulletin!

If it is the same as Track bRed, then it should have the orange flip in the sun as seen in this video:

Unfortunately Ignition Red, Electric Blue and Pearl White are the most expensive paint colours costing £965

If the Bulletin is to be believed, there are no solid paints. Only Metallic and Pearlescent.

None of the UK promotional photos I've seen of Ignition Red lead me to believe it's the same as the Pearlescent Track bRed which flips colour in the sun. Hope what's supplied is though! Saying that, the official USA Track bRed photos on their website don't show it like a flip orange so there may be hope!

AFAIK it’s exactly the same colour code as the Track bRed , DCK, Toyota appear to keep calling it “pearlescent“ for some reason Comments on US forums are that the red can lean towards “orange” is strong sunlight. Until we get to see it for real we won’t know

So you must be planning on painting the mirror caps and going gold on the alloys

Bronze alloys probably and didn't notice the mirrors!

I don't know how relevant this is, but I've had a quick look on an automative touch up paint website and the paint names of the US models appear to correspond with the paint codes for the European models, which gives me hope that we will get the same products in the UK as the currently released models:

I think you are correct , same colours codes as US market but different names.

The Pavement /Magnetite grey is the same code , P8Y , but the old GT86 dark grey option was 61K so it looks as though they are different from GT86 to GR86
