Collecting my 2024 GR-FOUR auto on the 28th June 2025.

I can't wait to see what the car is capable of.

I'll post some decent pictures once I have some.

Cheers Shifty aka Steve

Insurance sorted. Garage space cleared. Can not wait.

I see a mixture of some obscuring plates and some not . Is it not wise to show your plate?
Scrotes up to no good have been known to join car forums were they can then easily glean vehicle details. It makes cloning vehicle plates easier. I just chose not to post my plates on the web wherever possible. Of course when I am out and about anyone could still copy the plates but forums tend to concentrate lots of information on lots of vehicles in one place increasing their options. Jmho.

Thank you for that. Bit of a newbie here to car forums and just wondered.

No need to get overly paranoid about it but sadly there are bad people out there using all and every chance to take advantage. Another reason I don't put my home location in my profile.

First big road trip tomorrow. 200 miles on mixed roads so will be a good shake down run.

So after 380 miles I love it. Effortless motorway mile muncher and entertaining country twisties. Overtaking is fun again. Some retarded t**t poured their milkshake all over the roof one night. Any ideas how to clean the residue and suitable products etc? It has dried on in the hot sun and I cant get it clean.

Who the hell would do that. Some people are just a waste of oxygen.

I tried with a weak detergent and it has got most of it off. There is a slight bloom left which is annoying. I'm going to speak to a professional vehicle detailer
and see what they recommend. The mess came off the paintwork easily due to the ceramic paint coating but I assume they don't apply it to the roof panel.

It's very textured the wrap on the roof isn't it? I wonder if a soft brush would be helpful. I still had some protective wrap adhesive on my paintwork. Before ceramic coating it I used Bilt Hamber's Cleanser Fluid - that got rid of it, - I wonder if that would do the job for you?

Yet another daft question for the hive mind.

I own a Landcruiser and a Hilux and with both vehicles I can insert a USB stick with my music selection loaded from iTunes or Banshee. While in use I can select a specific music genre and get the head unit to randomly select tunes from only that genre.

In the GR I can insert the exact same USB stick and see the various genres but can not get it to randomly cycle through the tunes in a specific genre. Instead it just randomly selects from the whole USB stick contents. Its not a terrible problem but sometines I just want to listen to "rock" or "reggae" music and not everything else on the stick.

I'm not tech stupid but just can not seem to find out how to set it to select from a specific genre. I can not see that option being removed as otherwise why bother to allow me to select a particular genre? Any ideas would be greatfully accepted.

Thanks in advance.
