GR Yaris Michelin Pilot Sport 4S vs Continental SportContact 7

I am over the V601 Yokohamas. I would like to try the CSC7s but only sold here officially in 245/40. Anyone running 245s on an 8" wheel? Otherwise it will be AD09s in 235/40.
Those two probably sport the same width effectively, AD09 being more squared off but probably bit stiffer sidewall. I'm myself also looking at these two for my other car and also the Hankook Evo Z k129 which doesn't win the grip tests but is supposed to be a very agile tyre that wears well. Three different approaches... Depends how you like to drive.... Which varies here too... Best would be to have all three of them lol

My tyre guy says the same about width. I ran AD08Rs for the first road tyre and Toyo R888R as the track tyre back in the dark ages or 2021. The Toyos were destroyed in two seasons of sprints and the AD08Rs got really really noisy so those are the track tyres (and better than the Toyos if I am honest) and I have run V107 which I liked and now V601s which I don't. I think I will give the Contis a go. I will just run the finger test to be sure about clearance but based on Phil's sheet I should have no trouble with coilovers and -3 at the pointy end. We are allowed to go +15mm on diameter and nominally the 245/40 is 1mm too big but tyres vary and actual dimensions will be ok after one sprited run up the mountains. The AD09 is a great option and similarly priced but again if it gets noisy in a year I am stuck and it has reduced wet weather performance over the AD08Rs which were decent and that is a concern.

If I'm not mistaken the AD09 are better for wet than the AD08R...

Notet about noise. Maybe should go for the Evo Z...
