Had to have the windscreen replaced Friday, I'd taken the car out for a quick B road blast last Sunday, I know the road well but it's bumpy, I go out early morning so you can see any oncoming cars etc, road is quiet early on.
Enjoyed the run only to notice a slight crack in the lower right hand side, didn't hear anything hit the screen but noticed a tiny chip just above the rubber 🤬.
Phoned insurance and booked in with Autoglass repair, 2 hour wait as they calibrate as well.
Great job and service.
On the drive there the crack had propegated 1/2
way across the screen driving nice and easy for about 20 mins., many speed bumps don't help .

I take it from above that AutoGlass have screens in stock for the GRY so no weeks long wait needed.

I did ask if they ask if they are genuine Toyota, but the insurance won't pay the premium. Paid the excess and ordered, won't affect my no claims.
I'll post a photo tomorrow, I can't see any difference it's a quality screen with guarantee on their part, the Tech at AutoGlass did say Toyota OE screen has a approved logo from memory and I assume the wait, I booked a time slot and sat in Morrisons with a coffee waiting.

When I bought a CH-R in 2017 they also had the same problem. My cousin who was the Toyota workshop manager joked he had put me a couple asside for when mine goes. Apparently it was a cooling down problem when produced that left a weakness in the corners. A massive number of forum posts covered this problem around 2017 onwards. People were going out to their cars and a crack had appeared overnight while it was stood there. Warranty covered them as you would expect. It was soon fixed at the factory but does show that the warranty is important even on a brand new car.
