Ditto mate! Our day of hooning is yet to come my friend.I must admit that I do feel a bit of jealously but only because I would love to have a go at it too but never really got the chance yet.
The guy who runs the Nürburgring drift school told me to come in my GR next time (I was with a friend in her RX-8) as he says they are absolutely immense at drifting.
Given how planted they are on the road this was a surprise, but he says on the right surface (like in that vid) they become beautifully adjustable.
Interesting. I recently did a ADAC driving safety training at the Nürburgring. I looked at some brochures about what other trainings they provide and one of them was about drifting. It did state RWD as a requirement though so I no longer paid attention to it.The guy who runs the Nürburgring drift school told me to come in my GR next time (I was with a friend in her RX-8) as he says they are absolutely immense at drifting.

But if that's what has been said to you then maybe I should ask too if bringing the GR is ok.
I do 4wd and rwd drift instructions on the papenburg track! It is in germany.
It is important not to have very grippy tires. We use on our yaris gr nordic winter tyres on a wet track.
For dates look https://www.driftdagen.nl/driftdagen.php
Tyres nordic winter tyres with badest rating for wet grip. E or more. 17 inch 205/50
Traction off and then push sport.

Whole thread about this, lower grip tyres, with the aim to move away from planted to playful.Surprise indeed, based on planted characteristics on tarmac, but they are known to be playful on loose surfaces and that's no surprise for powerful 4WDs, I guess.
So I would expect him to prompt you to turn up with bad quality winter tyres or something similar tyre-wise. That would allow the switch fron planted to drifting biased.
These are still my favorite threads in the forum….Whole thread about this, lower grip tyres, with the aim to move away from planted to playful.
