Hi, just wondering how many on here have fitted their own spoiler?

I’ve just looked at the instructions online and it seems straightforward. Is the section you have to remove to fit made from plastic or metal? I can’t tell currently.

There's also the option to install it without drilling

It’s only drilling plastic. I very much doubt that once it is fitted it will ever come off. I’m happy drilling and making sure it doesn’t go flying off on the road.
That would need quite a bit of explanation and not sure the insurance would pay out.

Well, I thought I’d make an enquiry with ‘Toyota Parts Direct’ about the cost of a Spoiler (in Bright Blue DAR) to go on my GR86. Here’s the reply;
“This is only available from Japan ETA is approx a month. The price including VAT is £530.86 + £6.98 postage”
This seems a little expensive in comparison to past prices, am I right? I’ve yet to get a cost from my local dealership as Toyota’s parts system was offline today.
Anybody bought one recently?

Yeah, possibly. I seem to be getting a lot of 'only available in Japan' answers from my enquiries with UK retailers so far.

That seems a lot.

I had mine, white spoiler installed by dealership prior collection in early January 23.
Total price including fitting was £495.
Not much change in ~ 18 months.

I fitted black on mine because I have seen bad colour matches previously.

I would say is about 99% match. Somebody with OCD should stay away. Initially I could see slight difference, but now after year and a half it has “bedded in”.

Thanks - currently undecided whether to go black or white - will try and find a white one fitted IRL to look at and see if my OCD would be able to handle it!
