GR Yaris GR-Yaris Rally2

Took some photos of Sami Pajari's Rally2 car, impressive machine.

Great results by Sami Pajari today with the GRY Rally2 in Rally Croatia.
He was not scoring points on this Rally (just making some experience on tarmac) but he battled in a very fierce way to get to the final WRC2 3rd place (10th overall!), in a Rally where many great drivers in WRC2 Championship where competing, like Gryazin, Rossel, Greensmith, Lopez, Ciamin,...
He also won 3 WRC2 stages, and on the final Super Special, with a fantastic drive, he managed to fend off the furious comeback by Greensmith to keep the 3rd place by just 0.3 seconds.
Sami said the he is finding the right confidence in the car, that is really great and fun to drive.
So the GRY Rally2 turns out to be very much competitive on tarmac as well, the surface that even TGR feared to be the most challenging one to it.

Yes Sami had good rally. He seem to have good average pace and is able to adjust the speed according the stage.
 
Great performance by the GRY Rally2 at Rally Canarias as well (on tarmac), valid for the European Rally Championship and Spanish Superchampionship.
Alejandro Cachon, 25, won 5 out of 13 Stages, and finished 3rd overall.
He took the overall lead after Stage 4, and a very unfortunate puncture on a wide right cut on Stage 5 made the front right tire explode in the end, making him losing 40 seconds and 17 positions.
He climbed up position by position in the next 8 stages to get to 3rd overall, 29.7 seconds from the winner.
The car showed to be the fastest by a good margin for the most of the rally (credit to the driver as well, of course), and without the puncture it would have likely been an overall win.

I would love a front bumper, front wings, rear quarter extensions and the back bumper off a Rally2 car.. On the one I had a good look around the other week the wrap had been removed on the forged carbon roof.

Me too! It's the best aesthetic declination of the GRY, in my opinion.
 
First WRC2 Win for GRY Rally2 in Rally Portugal!
Actually the first driver (Gryazin) in the final classification was not scoring point in this rally, so Ian Solans, 2nd in the Rally (and 8th overall!), took himself and his GRY Rally2 to their first victory in the WRC2 Championship.
Personally I am really happy that this special win happened to Ian, because in 2022 I saw him driving at fantastic levels in the ERC, but after that he struggled so much with finding sponsors to afford a full ERC or WRC2 season.
I think he is a "natural" with a great talent for Rally driving, but too often in Motorsports money overshadows pure talent when it comes to build a long term career.
Seeing him back to a full season program, with our beloved GRY, and so overjoyed after the win, it was quite moving to me, I have to admit.

TGR testing faculty project is progressing.
it was mentioned that there is an option for TGR to build also rally3(!) cars in the future. Looks good..

Next time you pass by at he TGR headquarters, please ask them whether by any chance they'd need a fantastic Italian data scientist... I would move there tomorrow morning if they'd hire me! 😄

Thank you so much for the support @Onehp, I appreciate it very much.

It's quite serious actually.
I'm in a stage of my life when I want to finally do what I really like at any cost.
Being surrounded by the magic car competition atmosphere, helping beloved Toyota in its mission with my direct contribution (I love my job and I think I'm quite good at it), in a country that always fascinated me very much, it would be like a dream coming true to me.
I'm an EU citizen, and I don't need any visa to work in Finland, am I correct?
I guess I should start checking openings on their website, right?

Sami Pajari 1st (and 6th overall!) and Nil Solans 3rd (8th overall!).🥇🥉
After just a few WRC2 rallies the GRY Rally2 is already becoming a serious championship contender.
TGR-WRT made another masterpiece of a Rally Car (starting from our beloved standard GRYs!).
