Ever since finding snow foam I have been on the hunt for one that works. Bilt Hamber's Touchless is what I use now. It is the only foam I know that actually does loosen dirt and grime, discolouring the foam that drains on to the floor. I feel it's also very good as a lubricant and feel confident that once you have the heavy dirt removed, a contact wash with another foaming of the car can be made with a soft brush or mitt with no chance of damaging paintwork.
To maintain the hydrophobicity of the ceramic coating I use (Artdeshine's Metal Oxide), I've used a few products. Autoglym's Rapid Ceramic Spray is quite good in that as well as being a drying aid, it leaves the paint feeling very slick and hydrophobic. Bilt Hamber's Touch On is also quite good and probably works out cheaper than the Autoglym.
What products do you use on your clean and why?

bilthamber auto foam maybe try Bilthamber touchless next… see if any better.

Normally use Bilthamber auto wheels but trying bilberry wheel cleaner just now…. Not convinced so probably back to auto wheel once used up.

Car has ceramic coated using kamikaze collection miyabi coating, topped up with their over coat which I also use as a quick detailer, figured Japanese product on Japanese paintwork, works very well.

On wheels it’s Gyeon rim and gtechnique on roof.

Just had whole underside coated with dinitrol…

So overall not one brand, a mix of lots… but happy with end results.

Mostly ‘Gtechniq’ products to refresh and reinforce the professionally applied Gtechniq Ceramic Coating and Xpel PPF.
Dabbled with ‘Autobead’ after doing their detailing course, along with ‘Infinity Wax’ because they were a local company (now sold out to Tetrosyl and moved south), neither of which I shall buy again once my stock has run dry.
My most impressive discovery has been ‘Lavish’ ceramic foam from Autofinesse. If used after a maintenance wash and the car is blown dry, the result is a superb shine with no need to apply any other top coating (otherwise it can end up being smeary).

Bilt Hamber Touch-less but not in the foam sprayer, I just mix it with water in a normal spray bottle to dilute as per bottle, spray on car, leave a few mins and it lifts dirt as good as the foam without the faff of using the foam cannon. Best I have found so far.

Car had it's first good clean today after some doughnut of a tractor driver decided to cover it in crap.
Found a wonderful quick detailer/drying aid in Alchemy's Suga Coat! Dry as a bone and slick as anything she is now.
Feel like I have found a new top-up product for my ceramic coating.
Really quite reasonably priced too!

I’ve tried loads of different detailing makes and products over the years.
My goto at the moment
KKD Revolve ceramic protecting the wheels.
Soft 99 Fusso wax on the paintwork, had enough of ceramic coating paint work!
Gtechniq Halo for the roof

Soft99 Fusso on my list to get, will be adding the other 2 to give a go, thank you!

This is the stuff I find myself repeat ordering :)
  • Bilt Hamber Touchless snow foam (or Auto Foam). Good value and yet to find anything better.
  • Bilt Hamber Auto Wheels for serious wheel cleaning, but I like the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions red bottle foaming wheel cleaner for less stinky cleaning.
  • Not too fussy about shampoos, but Optimum No Rinse (ONR) is a really handy multi purpose rinseless wash/quick detailer, and I often add a capful to the shampoo bucket during grittier winter washes.
  • Gtechniq C5 or Gyeon Rim or wheel coatings. Both excellent and I try to top up once a year when swapping between summer and winter wheels.
  • Gyeon Cancoat lightweight ceramic coating. I'll use this on pretty much anything, it's super easy to apply outdoors and looks great. Darkens faded plastics nicely too. I've used it on all things from the Yaris, to the garage door, to bathroom tiles :D
  • Favourite wax is currently Gyeon Wax, which is just so easy to apply and remove, but Soft99 Fusso and Kiwami also great for longevity, but can be a bit dusty.
  • Gyeon Wet Coat. Fantastic in winter as a spray on/rinse off bit of protection, but also as a top up on wheels on every wash when rinsing.
  • Soft99 Glaco Compound and windscreen rain repellant.
  • Carpro Perl for tyres and anything plastic really.
  • Gyeon Interior Detailer. Always have a bottle in the car, tidies up the interior without looking shiny and smells great.

I am interested to understand why you have had enough of ceramic coatings?

I've been using this type of sponge for the past 10 years or so, having come across it on holiday in Asia. Being white you can easily see if there's still dirt on the sponge after the 2nd bucket rinse. Never had one rip or tear. They're made in Japan - best sponge I've ever found - for me far better than wash mitts, noodles, etc.
