If you're based in Hampshire/Sussex/Surrey, where do you have your tyres changed?

Online shop prices are hard to beat, but I still need a tyre shop to accept delivery & fit the tyres I buy online.

Past experiences include a local tyre shop attempting to fit tyres that were same brand but different model to the ones I ordered, without telling me.

Independent places you would trust to also do alignment would be good to know.

Thanks

Sadly the retail tyre fitting industry very much takes advantage of the Great British Motorist's level of disinterest in their tyres, as you found when that place tried to fit tyres you hadn't ordered onto your vehicle!

Micheldever Tyres (near ish Basingstoke) has a good reputation but it does get very busy.

I have a pet fitter but he's of little use to you as we are hiding here in very rural Devon ;-)

Thank you @Goffy

When checking online, I also found another place in Badnigstoke:
They seem to use reputable equipment for alignment and also have extensive options for that, which may be useful for the GRY.

I like their transparent & detailed pricing and the fact that they publish it on their website. I don't know (yet) if it's good prices, though, and I don't fully understand everything there (eg what's a £20.40 charge for While You Wait Service ). I'll probably ring them & ask, but I'm not sure I'll like the answer .

In Southampton there's:
Good reviews, reputable equipment and on their website they elaborate on how they look after wheels, in a way that's convincing.

I researched for tyre shops in my wider area and ended up using Riemans in Surrey, who do tyres (among other things). And they do them well as they have a leverless changer machine and know their stuff.

Their price was competitive, they have knowledge and they will happily share it. Lots of experience including with performance and modified cars. Apparently, they are trusted & recommended by very reputable specialists in the industry, which is how I found them.

Most importantly, they're a great bunch, very helpful and friendly, and they have a GR Yaris themselves. I felt that mine was in good & safe hands while with them.
